Thanks for the video! Few questions 1. What if my ROAS is below 1 for all of me advertised listings? 2. Do you adjust the ads search terms for the listings?
@AlfieNemeth5 ай бұрын
If your ROAS is below 1 for all of your listings then it is very likely you are not making profit by running ads. I would turn them all off and focus on improving your product/listings so that you get more conversions. For my advertised listings I just leave them as they are and do not alter my SEO specifically for ads.

Hi Alfie, thanks for this Video, I learn alot. Currently Im on POD and my best Seller is on Holloween last October, can I run ads on my Christmas Product that have lots of click or lots of favorite? Even without sales yet. Thank you!
@AlfieNemeth11 ай бұрын
No problem thanks for watching! Yeah if it was me I certainly would do this 100%. If you have the budget then I’d say run ads until your happy you have enough data to make a justified decision. My store usually gets between 10 and 20 sales a day (overall), so a week is a good timeframe. If you store gets less sales then maybe you need to test the ads for longer to get more data to interpret. Best of luck 🤞

I have a question: should I run ads for highly competitive niche products or low-competition ones? I own an Etsy POD store with excellent products not offered by other sellers. & do i need to spend more on ads for highly competitive niches, can u suggest daily budget, and for how long should i need to? However, I'm concerned about the highly competitive niche because other sellers will also run ads. The niche is for dog lovers.

Hey bro! I think sometimes if your in a very competitive niche but you have unique products that may normally not be found through SEO because the keywords your using are too similar to that of more popular products in your niche, then I would certainly recommend Ads. You just need to on top of your profit margins and especially know what ROAS will be your bottom line to run profitable ads. If it was me, I would try my bestselling 5 listings to start with at $2 each a day ($10 total). I have the budget to do this, so would probably run it for 2 weeks. Then after this period I would assess results and cut any products that fall beneath my ROAS line (this is different for everyone). After this once I've cut products, I would keep testing new products until I find the best ROAS ones for my store. Generally, the higher Average Order Value (AOV) products you can advertise, the better, because the cost of a click is the same whether you sell the item for $1 or $100. Hope that helps, keep pushing man!

Great Video. One thing I can't figure out is how to edit who your ad shows to? Is it the tags? I want control over who sees my ad, is that even possible or Etsy just does its own thing? Hope you understand what I'm saying.

Yep I understand, Etsy ads are a lot less targeted when it comes to audiences, compared to the likes of Facebook and IG advertising for example. Your only real way of marketing to an audience on Etsy is through SEO and what the product actually is, then its also pushed higher in the 'you may also like' and 'because you viewed' sections due to ads.

what to do if my listing is new and is getting few traffic should I run ads? or what...
@AlfieNemeth11 ай бұрын
If it was me I would certainly try it on ads yes for a minimum of 1 week (any less than this and results wouldnt be thorough enough). If it still gets no traffic with ads then I’d say remove it and look into improving the product offering (thumbnail image, photography, etc…). But some products are generally just less popular on Etsy than others, ads is a quick way to get more information to make this judgement call in my opinion. Best of luck either way!

@@AlfieNemeth so which ads option should I select and how much budget per day?

great video! i have a question though i just opened a new store and new account 2 days ago , listed 2 products but when i click esty ads it says i have to wait 14days to start running ads? is there anyway i can change it?
@AlfieNemeth8 ай бұрын
You'll have to wait the time period sadly, but 2 weeks isn't so long, don't rush anything it's not a get rich quick scheme :)
