Great review! It's an awesome tent. I've had mine for 10+ years. I love that the top crossbar is now integrated as mine is a separate piece and setup looks even easier now. Also, I'm glad SMD added a 2nd door compared to my single-door version. I used this tent during a thru-hike of the JMT! Ps. I also love the Gatewood Cape and Haven Bundle.

Nice design for sheltered sites. But with those large unsupported panels, I wouldn't fancy it in windy and exposed terrain! If you get this, you'll hopefully respect its limitations.

I read somewhere, that it recuired, to tape seal the tent after buying it.

Yes you need to seal the seams, very easy to do, not sure why it doesn't come already done for us tho 🤷‍♂️

That is nothing like the way 6 moon designs says to set it up.

There is not one right way to set up a tent. I would suggest do what works best for you as I did. If you like following manufacturers exact method awesome. If you are fine deviating from the instructions to what works best for you awesome.
