If Raheem Sterling was white, he will get the same or even more treatment than Kane. He will surely be praised as one of the best English players in the way Kane is portrayed. Sterling is up there as Kane but gets little mention in terms of his contribution to club and country. All the media care about is controversies concerning him. That aside, bias racism and prejudice is everywhere. Check all the board room of top organisations and you will know that BAME do not get equal chance. The conversation goes beyond sports.

Another thing which contributes to this is some middle age men not wanting to have actual conversations about what is going on and avoiding any race related topics. When you have a problem with players dancing or their hair (which is normal in black African/Caribbean/Latino culture), then you have to ask yourselves questions. it’s like the way alcohol is part of English culture . I feel some of these same people except black players to behave as though they need to “ know their place” - e.g. ngolo kante- who does this unintentionally , whereas if you’re outspoken & take no notice of what people think of you like Pogba or neymar or Lewis Hamilton, you get vilified

Questioning it leads to truth. And truth leads to accountability. They don'T want it

John Kimmel I can give the example of fans making songs about George best and his drinking which we saw affected his whole life , some middle age white men shed a light to this sad circumstance thinking “ that’s just being a proper lad”. In contrast, they have a problem with Lingard or Pogba or Neymar dancing and showing their personality?? This is rooted from bigotry & choosing not to understand people’s cultures. In terms of their hair, everybody who grows around black/mixed race people knows about the barbershop culture in the community. I feel black players in the UK are policed in terms of expressing themselves . Not even NBA players are restricted like this

Been going on for so long. I remember match of the day pundits in the 90s trying to convince viewers that Les Ferdinand, Andy Cole, and Ian Wright were not good enough for England. Blatant preference for shearer and sheringham. The Andy Cole one I remember. ,"He needs 5 chances to score 1 goal. This only stopped 10 years ago after Match of the Day said the same about Jemaine Defoe. Only for Paul Merson to slate match of the day on Soccer Saturday. Funny you see the like of Cole on premier league legends but he was not good enough.

spot on, racism would never end it is just human nature and your upbringing. I'm asian American and we got treated differently on jobs or whatever and I haven't seen any asian players broke through the ranks in England and United States, the same goes for black managers in England. Chris hughton and Darren Moore are about the only two managers, but I feel people like Paul Ince ruining the chances for many black managers, he's flipping clueless and thinks so much of himself, despite failing at multiple lower league clubs.
@lawrencehaynes64085 жыл бұрын
That's the problem why would anything that Paul Ince does ruin chances for other black managers, Paul Ince isn't representative of all black managers or black people so why would his success or lack of success deter chairman from hiring other black managers.
@007Fusiion5 жыл бұрын
Hey, im an asian football club owner; one blonde haired white guy failed. i'm not guna hire anymore white blonde haired men. Cos clearly when one fails, they are all now failures [without even being given a chance] - that's the message ethnic minorities get without it being said.
@steve131915 жыл бұрын
@@lawrencehaynes6408 macclesfield, nottscounty, Blackpool, blackburn I don't know you can google his ex clubs, he failed miserably and then going on blaming his race on why clubs in premier league don't give him a call.
@steve131915 жыл бұрын
@@007Fusiion so many flaws in your argument, how many asian are football owners out there? has there been a case where asian football owners only want to hire from their own race background or other minority background? none. asian owners at Cardiff, westbrom, Leicester, wolves hire/d Warnock, puel, Nuno Santo, Darren Moore. these are just facts. my point about Ince was about he continually blaming his color as the reason as to why he doesn't get any call from clubs in premier league and not his failings at lower league clubs. Ince had his chance, and failed.

something i want to say about these headlines news papers put out, like they did on the young black man city player in your example. mostly when they do that they do it on purpose, not by mistake, simply to gain more attention from people with a more controverse headline, even if it's a strech, a bit over the top, wording is key in media and these people know it. in a recent post match interview by Klopp on Sky Sports Football, the headline was ''Klopp says Wind was a factor for Liverpool's draw'' and in just some hours changed to ''Klopp blames Wind for Liverpool's draw'', the 1st headline was legit, the second one not when you look what he said. Sky Sports also needs to look at themselfs, ofc in this case it has nothing to do with race, but there is much more.

dude, is this a joke? Phil Foden is a future star whos waaay better than Tosin Adarabioyo. Like Tosin story was made when they were discussing the issue of young players who dont even play are making soooo much money. Like wtf. Phil Fodens age and how good he is have earned his wage considering hes actually contributed to the team. Have you thought that this isnt an issue of race, but of talent? If Phil had been black and Tosin white, nothing would change. If the black player is more talented and contributes more he will be recognized for it. This is just race baiting bullshit, that is being used for more "diversity" which means, lets not recognize players by talent, ability, and contributions, but if your skin is dark you should be given a boost and not criticized at all. This is pathetic. Especially in sports where all that matters is putting the ball in the back of the net, and your sitting here thinking that playing well isnt what matters. LIKE WTF.

JustinPT I didn't realise foden hasn't started a PL game but he has played CL, has a PL winners medal, U17 WC and does feature a fair amount for the first team for an 18 year old. If the articles were written by the same person you may have a slight point but I'm not sure if they were or not. Either way Foden is far more established and has done far more to prove justifying a higher wage.
