Totally possible. Pep is leaving soon, and Villa have finished above 'Top 6' Spurs and Chelsea twice in a row. The funny thing is people act like he was a complete failure in Arsenal, when he got them to a European final and top 5 twice. He was also the coach who purchased Saliber and first put Saka in the first team. It was just at a time when Arsenal fans were delusional and expected Arsenal to win titles.
@tristanedwards13402 ай бұрын
Unfortunately he was thrown under the bus because the guys upstairs was doing accounting fraud they didn’t want to blame themselves so Emery was first to go It’s why kronke sent his son a lot of people was sacked or left and he runs it personally now the Pepe deal was also reviewed At least in Aston Villa he has trust on all aspect of the footballing business Arsenal didn’t give him that respect
@jackwebb9872 ай бұрын
I think Emery is a world-class manager but I'm sick of the revisionism at his time with us. We were bottom-half when he left the club and he was actually looking to sell Saka to bring in Saha from Palace. Although it wasn't all his fault, his tenure at the club was the most disconnected fans had ever felt.
Everything you just wrote is made up 😂 how funny to try and justify your stupidity. Emery finished 1 season in charge of Arsenal and came 5th. The next season he had then 15th before he was sacked mid way through 🤣

These are the kind of managers I have huge admiration for,managers who go to average or chaotic teams and turn them into beasts that can go toe to toe with the absolute best.I would have to say that Unai's Villa is the only team that has outplayed Pep's formidable City for a whole 90 minutes and won by just being the better team.Unai is the main reason I ran out of excuses for Ten hag at United.This Man deserves all his flowers and more🎉

You're correct but Liverpool too outplayed the city in multiple matches .
@temporaryuseraccount00122 ай бұрын
@@pt-7890 ... I think OP is specifically referring to the Villa home win against Man City last season (early December). Where Unai Emery's tactics resulted in Villa almost completely snuffing out Man City's goal threat and out-played City at their own game. The stats for that game between the two clubs were insane and shocked everyone. It finished only 1-0 to Villa, but really should have been much more. Shots on goal were 22 vs 2 in favour of Villa. More impressive was how they managed to almost completely nullify one of the best attacking line-ups in the Premier League. That's never really happened to that extent to Pep before. It showed that Emery is capable of out-playing a vastly superior team, in terms of the quality of players each manager had available to them.
