Here a short history of RB Leipzig. 1. Founded in 2012 by buying out SSV Makränstädt in the 5th League instead of starting at the bottom (11th league) like normal clubs 2. In Germany every club has to be at least 51% fan owned, except for Leipzig apparently because it is the only club were you cannot become a member. All their members are literal workers at Red Bull. 3. Spent insane amounts of money to make it up the ladder: 3.1. Three of the top 10 most expensive transfers in german 3rd division history were by RB and they ony spent A SINGLE YEAR in the league 3.2. Four of the top 8 most expensive transfers in german 2nd division history were by RB and they ony spent TWO YEARS in the league 3.3. In their debut Bundesliga season the only team spending more money than RB was Dortmund (RB LITERALLY CAME IN AS A PROMOTED TEAM) 3.4. All these statistics dont even include the players they got for free from other Red Bull clubs like Salzburg (This is basically legalized cheating) If you support this network of RB clubs you are part of the problem. And thats exactly what Klopp is doing. But I am not suprised to see fans of an Oil League with shady investors from countries that dont have human rights, defending this. You dont know what the words "values" and "morals" even mean. The RB network is the prime example of everything wrong with todays football.

In Klopp’s defence, he is German, and Germans do love their corporate capitalism. I don’t understand the phoney annoyance over this. I’ve never liked him that much, being a Utd fan, but come on, get a grip. It’s not like Dortmund and Liverpool were grassroots under dogs either. This is football.

Even if it is controversial, it's brilliant to have that caveat. Unheard of. Clever.

Borussia Dortmund should hush. They were the first German club to go to the stock market. They are now sponsored by Rheinmetall, a weapons manufacturer.

I find it real funny how people trash so much on RB, but they're oh so happy to use the RB teams like another portuguese farmers team. If RB Leipzig were so controversial within Germany, why has Sabitzer played in both their direct rivals, Upamecanot and Leimer become the backbone of Bayern, Nagelsmann gone straight to Bayern and then onto the German national team. You can't have your cake and bloody eat it too. I don't have a problem with Leipzig's business strategy. It's just another shrewd team recognizing talent and then losing it to bigger teams. Brighton get praised for this same thing. Cry about it.

Why is Red Bull so hated upon? Bayern winning every year. Accepted. RBL climbing up 5 leagues. Frowned upon. Institutional issues within Germany clearly remain.

LOL Red Bull in Thailand was a family business, and built up from that UNLIKE MANY sponsors, they sponsor the grass roots of a HUGE Number of sports. I would be happy if this lead to a LIverpool Red bull sponsorship deal.(Although not ownership)
