I just bought a 03 sl55, and this is very informative as I'm 19, and I do intend on doing all the maintenance myself. I did attend an automotive tech school for 2 years, so I'm confident in my ability to maintain it

I got a 11.8 on my Dragy with my CL55. Its not where you are with that little SLK but its fast for a big autobahn cruiser like the CL55. I struggle to keep heat out of it and make full boost. Keep up the videos- I love them.

For some reason the CLs and SLs always seem to be faster then the 4 door m113ks🤷🏻

CL and SL M113K have more power. There are small differences that are worth 20 or so HP stock.@@ogdeving

Adam, thanks again for another very informative video on maintenance of the M113(K) power plant. I agree 100% as I stay on top of the maintenace of my M113 SLK55 AMG. Doing so we will have many years of enjoyment. Did I hear you say your worked at Mercedes dealerships? Were you an MB tech which how you know how to do the more complicated things?

What is the best and most affordable way to get the most power out of a N/A 550……w219 …2009 cls550 to be exact…..382hp is nice but i know we can get more out of it without breaking the bank and keeping it budget…..i have a muffler delete and K&N air filters, other than that it is 100% stock and living here in comifornia smog laws limits what im able to do…..do you have any suggestions……other than just selling it and buying a cls55 or cls63😂😂😂………i literally just got done painting her 2 weeks ago……and replacing the airmatic valve block and compressor, along with ALL the cam sensors and PHASERS with factory mbz pieces…….not ONE malfunction light on the dash or check engine light……(knock on wood),also just changed the oil…..the car is literally perfect in MY eyes, at the MOMENT……just asking if YOU know of any budget friendly upgrades for power on this particular motor…….thank you for all the awesome MBZ content!!! You rock homie!!!!

ECU tune. Look up Vtech Georgia, RaceIQ, or Eurocharged, they are respected Benz tuners for the M113k platforms, I'd assume they work with your engine.

Hi there buddy I’ve got an intermittent rough idle on my sl55 feels like it wants to stall sometimes but if I turn it off and back on again it idles fine again for a while then back to rough after driving it, I’ve replaced the plugs, map sensor, crank and cam sensors still no change also have a fuel smell in the cabin, no stored codes, any ideas? thanks in advance

you have m113 block not m113k thats why your spark plugs are shorter
