Can’t keep flounder in NC until the two week season in September. Elias catches tons of them just about every time he goes out. I’m in Va which doesn’t have a season but you can only keep four per day and they have to be at least fourteen inches .

Heh. That’s the truth. I don’t know why sheepshead have such a low reputation in Texas, but they do.

Ever since Fathom came out with their underspin I have been using it A Lot. Paired with anything white seems to produce fish. I wish they would work on their keeper. Jigs slide down a lot especially with the lizards. Other than that it’s a deadly combo around our area!

Man I wish my local fishing area was as good as this. Just not a ton of structure deeper than 3 ft around me. There's some great marsh and mangrove flats type stuff, but the intercoastal is really a desert on the bottom. One or two spots that are reachable with a kayak, but it's a he'll of a paddle for those 2 spots.

Nice that breeder flounder didn’t bash you to shit, very smooth and quick, had to get that measured I get it but that thing can rumble. I thought one was going to shake my dock loose, basically, on the Davis Canal 29th st. Oak island NC right by you. The Davis canal is sand bottom, I guess it used to be mud back in the day. I got the flounder out of the water just like you then bam bam bigelow was jumping on the dock, huge fish with hyperdermic needles for teeth
