I sort of regret that (I was thinking that the setup wouldn't be as useful to me here) I had made a mistake. Great stuff Theo! However, in my opinion (formed in 60 yrs) You cut the blue rock across, (I know it's easier) but sometimes, you have to let the stone tell you where to cut it. That blue rock was screening to be cut the opposite of the way you did cut it! Then maybe it wouldn't have disappointed you. 😁🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
@TheoKellison3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!😄 i actually cut that one across multiple axis off camera and got marginally better results. I was hoping for some banding but it was pretty much just a blue milk agate. Stilll worth making some blue cabs though! I was just hoping for a blue blanded Montana agate as i have cut several that looked just like that one before getting cut but it is still a good agate; ill never complain about about a blue😄

@todddaugherty1103 жыл бұрын
Theo, as always, marvelous stuff. Fine finished pieces always start with quality stone, but world class pieces are dependent on world class artists. You have a nice soft touch on that saw that minimizes the saw marks and eliminates the end blow outs. Considering the size of some of the material I have seen you with, you need to get you a big time slab saw, like Montana Rock Mom's Drogon or bigger. Then you can use that tile-saw to do the pre-forms for cabs. That first plume jasper looked like hot lava.

Don’t asked to pick a favorite. Lol. All are beautiful! And the Trifecta! Ok, I do have a favorite. 🤣 it’s so pretty!! What is iris agate?
@TheoKellison3 жыл бұрын
Iris agate is a type of agate that has very tight transparent banding which causes light defract and actually forms vibrant rainbow color inside or the stone!😄 if you have never seen one i would highly recommend a google image search because they are amazing!😄
