I forsee a set of Ferodo DS2500 track pads in your future. I wonder if there's some kind of euro site that distributes them and has a full replacement warranty. Jokes aside the 2500's are a really good track/autoX pad for the 850. Great initial bite, no overheating, and easy to modulate. The passive rear steer does help when competing at autoX speed as well. Been tracking mine for a while with those same coilovers too. (Wonder where I got them. lol) Mine are still the standard 4K rear 5K front so interested to see how your springrates work out. Mine already tripods regularly so cornering well.

Keep up the great job! By removing the original gas tank and cutting out the spair tyre bay, it's possible to built a proper straight pipe! I have built some straight pipes for 850 and S70 .... I don't know about noise regulations in Your place, but that sound is horrible. One of the key things about the 850's is the epic sound of that straight, transversally placed 5 cylinder N/A engine. Good move with the spring rates. My R has the standard rates, and the front is way too soft, I had to disconnect the front sway bar to make it handle corner transitions with some level of composure. For the 94 turbo I'm building I got 7k front and the rear is not customizable, (awd swap). Also I got the DS series dampers. We'll see how it drives, and then I'll tune the front spring rate if needed. Springs are cheap.

Absolutely, Sean! Changing out the springs is cheap and relatively easy. We'll see how these rates perform on the track and will refine from there!

I wouldn't even think of modifying it. Volvo would have spared no money investing in their R&D to ensure that such a system worked as intended prior to bringing it to market. If what they do is there, it's been done for a good reason. Their BTC Tom Walkinshaw tuned cars would have used it. Repair as necessary then leave well alone!
