This video is a gem for me. #1, the snare sounds almost identical to the snare used in the 2004 As Blood RUns Black Demo which is a plus for me since they're one of my all time favorite bands. Secondly, everything technical happening from 3:10-3:43 is a masterpiece, including (correct me if I'm wrong), the eighth-note triplets he plays after the blast beat. That gave me chills as it reminds me of the technicality Flo Mounier from Cryptopsy has. This just is incredible. A must share

The drummer of Aversions Crown and Signs of the Swarm both use the Joey Jordison Pearl snare I don't blame them for using it it's a good snare I'm not just saying that cause I like Slipknot even though joey was kicked out quite some time back but I've used it before it's impressive. I personally like SJC, Heart Custom Drums and DW for snares

Dude, kid's got some major chops. Very well done. At first I thought it was funny that his drum kit was so small (with the exception of the bass drums). But now I think it's pretty ingenious. Less time spent trying to get back and forth between drums and cymbals, more time to crunch those speed fills in. A thing of beauty, really.

Dude Jimmy I fucking love you. I knew you would go big after watching your outdoor burlap drum improv years ago! Also your cover of the new reign got me into born of Osiris. Glad you're in a brutal band like signs of the swarm

Awesome stuff. Love the ghost notes. More metal drummers need to get that stuff in (while other finessey drummers need to play more blast beats :p)

the pillows in the bass drums are like rags in the mouth of a murder victim. He's killing them in the most brutal way

Those mics are for decoration: this is quantized af. Good drumming tho. I just wonder what those drums actually sound like.
