lots of comments about Scott singing better. I like to think that Myles is doing his own thing to honour Scott, not upstage him in his absence. I for one think this is a great version and a great homage to the original

How do you replace a dead guy with a unique style and explosive vocal range? You don't. Myles has his own identity, his own band, and a different 4-Octave vocal range. For him, it's a matter of simply doing a good cover of the original, not making an attempt to replace the original voice. BTW - Slash's ultra light strings make the extreme bends possible on an acoustic, but sound "thin".

This needs to be preached in the comments section of every single cover everywhere. One being great or revered doesn’t discredit or discount the other, ever. Both can be great AND completely different. Wish more people would get that instead of feeling the need to defend the memory of their favorites. I’d lay money if he had the chance to hear it, Scott would love Myle’s performances too.

I'll take Scott's voice over Myles' voice any day. Scott going from Sex Type Thing to Where The River Goes, to Silvergun Superman, to Kitchenware & Candybars, to Sour Girl, to Lady Picture Show to his work in VR. That's where it's at for me. Myles just has a voice that works for some stuff but not most for me. His vocals are too good and too well trained so I just don't hear any raw emotion in them, if that makes sense. I do enjoy Myles' guitar playing, though.

Did you know Miles was offered the gig before Scott and turned it down. I believe because Miles and his wife had little ones at the time. Family first I am sure there was more to his decision only he knows for sure. We love Miles here in Spokane. The man is more than music!

I am a huge fan of Scott, hell I named my daughter after him and Layne Staley (Weiland Layne) and as much as it KILLED me to say it, I like Myles' version here better. People need to (1)remember where Scott was at in his use when this came out and (2) saying that Myles kicked some serious ass on this IS NOT SAYING THE ORIGINAL THEY DID WITH SCOTT sucks, No need to jump down someone's throat if they prefer one over the other.

Myles Kennedy is such an amazing talent it's hard to find words to describe it. He is also a decent human being. We all loved Scott, rest his soul, but there's no one who could have done this justice like Myles. Be thankful for that.
