I was a Buddhist first. I was a Marine second. I became an athiest, third. I saw first hand the greed of the military industrial complex; I have looked for the truth in what, 'We' have done in the guise of 'freedom' and 'Democracy.' It left me shattered and disillusioned. Objective truth is hard accept when you've lived a whole life in subjective reality. However, in my despair, deep in the void, I see the faintest glimmers of hope, of humanity when I hear Rens lyrics. I would like to agree with Ren when he noted at the end, "I'm an agnostic, who believes; I believe in Us."

Yes! Having this after the sleep deprivation and collective insanity of playing the Game hit eerily hard, and it's nice to see it has an impact still, even for those who didn't play the Game. For me it was 16 days playing, as jumped in on the shared research docs a couple of days before the Pride riddle dropped. It was the most insanely bonding experience I've ever had with a bunch of "strangers" who very quickly began to feel like family.

I was hoping that Ren would do something like this. I just started going down the Ren Rabbit Hole of Discovery and my spidey-senses tingled when I first watched 'Hi Ren'. I have watched 'The Tales of Jenny and Screech - FULL', Chalk Outlines, and some others; including all of his interviews. I saw hints of his enlightenment. Happy to watch this. Thanks! 🙂❤🙏

Hi Ash, in my life time, just 56 years here in the UK, I have seen the shift from jobs for life with holidays, good pay & pensions... to Zero Hour contracts, no job security and several jobs to afford a roof over your head. My generation really let this world down, let the young down. Unhindered Capitalism has shown us that without controls how little it cares for life. It can & must get better. As a Humanist & an Atheist although I do not believe in any of the thousands of Gods the human race has created to run from death, I do though agree with Ren and his ideas for a better life. He did though sidestep all the harm done by religion and put all the blame on the pursuit of money... both are guilty in my eyes. If we do not learn to think then the guilt is also ours.

Ren could make a career out of narration; and a career designing educational materials. He's truly clever. One of the more notable things about Einstein was his ability to convey complex ideas to anyone. i.e. Like Ren, but not as entertaining. :) - Ren opens the door for us to do better, even by just reminding us we can do better. Utopias aren't easy and maybe impossible; however, making things a bit better is possible and easy. Enjoyed the conversation after the reaction, your community is lucky to have you.

Ren is the modern day Buddha. Buddhism was never meant to be a religion, but a way to live better. I truly believe he has achieved enlightenment, a balance of mind and existence in this modern world. We can all find a way to live harmoniously with our mother (Gaia) and our brothers and sisters. Even if religious, living this way follows the good message from the holy books

I have health problems very similar to what Ren's been through and I went through periods of psychosis in which I was shown different ways of looking at things. At some point in my psychosis I was shown or realized that if they hadn't ate from the tree of knowledge, we wouldn't exist. It was because they did that they became mortal and were able to bare children. I remember having the thought that the snake tempting her wasn't evil... he was just curious to see what humans looked like in miniature form (babies). 😂. Makes me wonder if this came from Ren's "psychosis" too. I have some theories on psychosis that I'm still looking into.. whether it's our subconscious trying to make sense of things or if we tapped into something else..like a hive mind that has come up with some answers. I need to talk to more people who have went through it. 🤔 ✌️&❤️

Very interesting sentiment from Ren the idea that Earth can be heaven if we choose it to be is a very pagan mentality and not a monotheistic one.
@deviouskris3012
@deviouskris3012 Жыл бұрын
Technically it was the mentally of the era. Heaven was to be made here on earth. The hebrew people got buried and not cremated because it was a commonly held belief that the spirit would be returned to the flesh. The idea of there not being a heaven on earth was a later adaptation for chritians after JC failed to materialise 'soon' is paul was so desperately tellling them.

We are all a work in progress, non of us are a completed work of art, one day, but not this day. But we can all try harder, strive to be better, but too many of us don’t, and also refuse to believe our actions would make a difference. We might not be able to make all the changes for the better the world needs, but we can certainly make the changes for the better we’re capable of, that’s a good place to start. 🙂🌸

I understand where you were going with the fact that we are all only one person, but we must not forget that the opposite notion is true as well. I think of Isaac Newton, the Tank Man of Tiananmen Square, or even Ren himself. Individuals can change the world if only we don't stop ourselves from doing so. It will only be by lifting our aspirations beyond what we think we can reach that we will reclaim Eden, and find utopia.

BS. A strong person who gives and helps their community will always have more than a selfish person, will have more friends and people who care for them. It only takes courage to be a good person, once you are there it is easy to maintain.

As you said it doesn’t matter. But I am Christian. But I’m a Christian that follows God and myself. I just don’t think that any all powerful being would want what’s happening here on earth to be happening. But also, I do believe that there’s something guiding us something someone doesn’t matter, so I leave it up to my decisions and what I feel my God, my spirit, but everyone a color is pushing me towards, and those are the things that I follow. A lot of people would scratch my eyes out for this because I am a Christian but I do believe that a lot of the stories may be all in the Scriptures are parables..You could tell me today that Satan is real and I would believe you Because we’ve taken it upon ourselves to destroy all good and be selfish. It really is time for change.

In any religion based on the Abrahamic teachings the belief is that god is...... *omnipotent (all powerful), *omnipresent (everywhere), *omniscient (all knowing), *omnibenevolent (all loving). Therefore god knows everything past, present and future, god already knows who is going to believe who isn't going to believe (and has the power to change it but doesn't (*omnipotent)), in the Abrahamic belief system there is no free will. You may wake up in the morning, go in the kitchen and instead of making a coffee you decide you are going to have a cup of tea, you may believe that you made a choice out of free will to have tea instead of coffee, but god already knew you would have tea that morning (thats what *omniscient means) , god has know since the dawn of time that you would choose tea and therefore you had no choice but to have that cup of tea. What the Abrahamic religions gives you is the impression of free will, not free will in actuality. There is no problem with faith/belief, faith/belief can make people grow and share, become more charitable and caring, can give people reasons to go on and to help other people to grow as well, the problem is organised religion, anyone who follows a doctrine of belief that dictates not only what that faith/belief must be and how that faith/belief must be followed/displayed and then separates its'self by drawing lines between other faiths and beliefs creates a division between peoples something an *omnibenevolent being such as an Abrahamic god would be wholly against! Organised Religion gives people the excuse for division (what gives religion the right to set boundaries on god if that god is *omnipresent), for causing harm to others in the name of doing "their" god's work, for downgrading and denigrating others to raise themselves in their own eyes as being superior because they have chosen the right god in the right religion and everyone else is wrong.......... Have faith, have belief and do better for your self and those around you, not because some dogmatic religion tells you to, but because you choose to, that would be following the true teachings of Abraham. F religion..... just be good/do good because you choose to using your own Free Will.
