Sounded great! Good demonstration. Thankyou. I already own v1 and haven't downloaded v2 yet, but this has got me licking my lips with anticipation. Just imagine the extra vibe and presence once the "channel" emulator is on every channel also. Lots of room for a custom sound with analogue greatness. Nice demo; well done Slate, VCC 2.0 sounds like a winner, absolutely beautiful sound enhancement.

I have 8 Trident A range channel hardware strips and OMG someone finally got it right! Well now I can have more than 8 channels with out a bunch of printing with hardware inserts on mixes

I think the secret of the sound is the put the MixBuss on the your master fader, and then use the VCC console channels on the actual music tracks. Also, the grouping of the consoles is a big deal to me. At least with the original VCC, that configuration real allowed the sound to come out.

dude this song is straight up BEAUTIFUL. You could've used a toilet for summing and it would've still been amazing. Who the heck is this that I'm listening to

lol, it's "The Sandman's Orchestra". I added a link the description

Bravo, nice & analytic video without any words. The sound speak itself. I've listened to my Macbook speakers and I have to say, the vibes of each console is not that subtle, especially when boosting the input or drive button. At my studio set up just a touch of more input gain and drive is more than enough to do the job. I love the Neve, the new SSL and the Api. Great product, great review from modernmixing.

Thanks Νίκος. I figured that the settings were pretty self explanatory on this one since the original Slate VCC was marketed to death, so I just decided to go for a straight audio demo. Glad you enjoyed. Happy Mixing my friend!

cool and awesome in song and absolutely no difference in drums only part at beginning of video)
@ModernMixing10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the "default" settings can be very subtle but the drum demo where I push the input and the drive, sounds pretty cool

I think I prefer Waves NLS. NLS can be just as subtle as VCC, but can add a lot more colour, if you wish. Also, the differences between the consoles they modeled seem to be bigger than in the VCC. But the linkable Input + Output is a great feature on the VCC, which the NLS doesn't have. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for sharing David. I think that's why music is so great, lot's of colors and preferences to choose from. I'm glad you found the one you like. Have a good weekend!!

Modern Mixing I use NLS in almost every mix I do. A nice weekend to you as well!

David Mood Try DDMF Channel strip demo, for me, the best channel strip plugin aout there, cheers.
@davidmood51619 жыл бұрын
Andrés Hernández Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be a console emulation like Waves NLS or Slate VCC, but a regular channel strip.

David Mood yes you are right, but the final sound of this little plugin is awesome

Could I ask what your computers specs were in this video (CPU and RAM) so I can gauge what my CPU usage would be I have a very under powered 2014 mac mini for my native system and that will help me determine if it would be a good investment! Thank you very much and GREAT DEMO of the plugins KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

joe salyers I have the oldest mixing computer in the world so yours is probably like a Ferrari compared to mine. But it refuses to die and I haven't had a good reason to replace it. It's from 2011, AMD 4 core and only 4gigs of ram on a 32 bit system. I showed in the video that I had 22 instances barely touching 4% CPU, I'm actually really pleased with the results.

Thank you for your reply and that is awesome now you just made my decision alot easier VCC 2.0 is well worth it in my book after finding that out!

It takes some getting used to but this new update is much more obvious in the color it's adding. Try the demo out, I think you might enjoy it.

LrsGln VCC 1 was pretty subtle but the biggest thing you would hear form it is "vibe", meaning that the track would just move a little nicer. With this video, I'm not sure how far you're watching but go to 3:50, that's with literally all the knobs driven. The before and after is pretty dramatic - you can even hear it on a laptop.
