Really nice build! I see dirt bikes as disposable. I buy them on sale pound on them and change them out every season. If I spend extra on anything it's suspension and power delivery.

Hi Jeff, what was done about the fuel tank and the issue with interfering with the oil cap?
@slaverace13 ай бұрын
Acerbis makes a fuel tank that does not interfere with the oil fill cap. However, the oil tank has been deleted on this build. Premix now.

Hello: I use the Motominded Evo Kit slavensracing.com/shop/evo-led-kit-for-ktm-by-motominded/ because it meets my needs. I don't night ride and only use the light for tunnels (several in my area) or to get home if I'm out late due to a mechanical or injury issue.

Do you use the KTM weight chart for rider wt + gear rated springs for the forks and shock? Or do you go one rate lighter for single track and hard enduro?
@slaverace13 ай бұрын
Hello: Our spring charts are very accurate. The purpose of springs is to hold up the bike and rider weight

So with that TSP head and mapping, what kind of mpg are you getting on the usual high mountain technical ride ?

Adam: I haven't really tracked the mileage, but with a 3.2 Acerbis tank it will easily go over 100 miles.

Jeff, you built a beautiful bike. Well done. Question about the head: When looking at the different inserts (low, med, high, very high), what should I lean towards if I am a rider who wants to upgrade my 300, but will ride trails anywhere from Louisiana to Colorado? Is there ONE insert that will work better than stock and be safe for the motor at all altitudes? Thanks! Jo-Jo

Hi Jeff. I’m in the market for a 2024 XCW and I’m getting frustrated with the lack of availability here in Canada and how much more expensive they are compared to a 2024 XC, I’m talking like $3000 difference!!! And to top it off, I can’t even buy one from the US! The bike is not admissible to import 😢. I don’t do a lot of fast stuff and I’m mostly doing hard enduro type slow stuff like yourself. What would you say it would take in terms of mods to get the XC as close to an XCW as possible? Cheers, and thanks for all the videos and everything you do!
@slaverace1Ай бұрын
Hello: Personally, I would not consider an XC for hard enduro because the XCW is a much better choice for that application. The XC engine would require a lot of mods (and cash) to make it rideable for hard enduro and the linkage hangs up on everything. Over my many years in the MC industry, I have seen many guys buy the wrong bike to save a buck and they always regret it.
@xerophinityАй бұрын
@ Thanks Jeff. After some thought and research, I’ve come to the same conclusion. Better to spend the money on something purpose built than some Frankenstein bike to try and get it to do what it doesn’t want to. On another note, in a different video you mentioned you put a RadiusX clutch on your 2024 XCW. Do you think it’s not worth the extra money to get the RadiusCX?
