Tried to read Tarrying with the negative after finding it in a give and take bookshelf. Didn't understand a thing. It seemed like I would have needed to read a shit ton of Descartes and Kant to understand the first chapter alone.

Just like most of his verso publications I payed way too much money for. At least the culture war woke me up to the stupidity and consequence of Judith Butler and most of the k theory shit I used to espouse. Then again, we always smashed identity politics.

What on earth are you talking about. The "culture war" is a load of inconsequential garbage trump supporters from 4chan pretend is some meaningful battle of ideas. Also Zizek and Butler are generally decent theorists even still today, (despite any mistakes they certainly do make as academic types).
