Ooh, I'm jealous of this! Brilliant footage. Their red eyes always look a bit terrifying I think!! Do you find you ever have issues with image stabilisation when filming birds on choppy water? My camera always seems to get confused and tries to lock on to all the ripples which causes all kind of trickiness! But you've captured some really steady shots of it floating around there...

I'm still using my old Canon SX60 kit for filming until I can afford to up grade so yes it does spaz out quite a bit on water. What's worse is if you try and stabilise it in post production it spazz's out even more when waters involved.

@@sferguk totally know what you mean 😅 I've discovered in premiere's Warp Stabiliser, in the advanced settings at the bottom there's a tick box for "detailed analysis" (or something like that!) which seems to do a better job. It takes a little longer to analyse, but it's definitely saved a few water shots that I would have otherwise ditched...
