This is the type of run I was hoping for from ascension runs. New tactics, new decisions, archetypes, and cards. Old NL would have never made that apparition play and wouldn't have tried the super defensive choke-hold deck. Well deserved victory.

The biggest piece of advice he needs for ascension is to completely wipe out the fast and loose style of dailies. Take a lot of time each turn! Look at your relics!

You can also use those shitty shivs with gambling chip for a 1rst turn power setup. And also, upgraded catalyst TRIPLES the poison, with a upgraded crippling cloud it gos to 21, thats a lot for 3 energy, not to mention you can also burst it.

He built such a good defensive power deck that those missplays on the last few fights didn't even matter, like bursting blur instead of the apparitions. Anyways, one of your best runs ever, smart choices in deck building, actual good and calm gameplay when you needed it the most, and of course a good bit of classic NL luck with those clutch apotheosises to start hard fights.

I really prefer watching the ascensions runs to the dailies. The dailies are fun to play, yeah, but as someone who has already played them, it's kinda uninteresting. No offense, but I doubt anyone's watching you to become better at the game.

No? Do you not understand, like, math? Let's say I play 20 games as the Silent, and every 10, I win. So I get 2 wins out of 20, and I am now on Ascension level 3. Then I play Ironclad. I play 1 game. I win. So, I am Ascension level 3 with the Silent, with a 10% winrate, but Ascension level 2 with the Ironclad, with a 100% winrate. *TL;DR: Winrate =/= number of wins*

Always always upgrade neutralize first, it saves soooo much damage/armor

Never ever do something always in STS. It is strong though... But there might be stronger options still

@@MisterTene sure, but in probably 90% of the runs i've had (atleast), neutralize is the clear upgrade choice for the first smith. I have 481 hours played. You almost never have any better cards that early. It fits every archetype, you can almost always cast it (unless webbed) and removing incoming attacks for 2 turns instead of 1 means youre almost certain to get value from it. It is honestly the strongest starting card by far.

Oh and upgrading it makes the damage it provides (even if its just by 1) hit a lot of breakpoints for lethal on A LOT of floor1 enemies

Demyr Nox Bag of Prep is amazing. Two bags of prep would be op. Mango is a rare relic but 14 hp won't make much a difference in many situations thanks to enemy scaling. Some of these relics feel like they are in the wrong tiers.

But anyways, Bag of Prep is good, it's not better than the average boss relic. And I'm not sure you actually can get just any relic? I never got Velvet Choker or Black Star, although maybe it was just luck of the draw

Damnit NL, Bane is the biggest noob trap in the game. You are compounding six damage a turn on every enemy on the board. 14 damage is meaningless. It isn't even worth taking much less passing up a Blur for.

Bane is pretty solid tbh. even up at 15+. its not a must pick. but 1 or maaaybe 2 of them early is enough to save you a lot of damage early.

Obviously it's not the best, because you would rather focus on stacking poison than using regular attacks, but it's still a pretty decent card and one of the Silent's better plain jane attack cards
