Been using mine daily since it originally came out and have had many issues with it along the way but it’s still going strong. It does require a bit of maintenance. Big design issue is the hot water spigot valve is not positive pressure to close rather relying on a spring to close the valve when you push the handle back. If the valve gets stuck open there’s nothing you can do to prevent boiling water from coming out all over your counter and floor and likely burning you in the process until the tank is empty

I mean, you don't HAVE to plumb it in and drain to sewer line if you want to use the normal drip tray, you just have to hide a grey water collection bottle somewhere. The pump is also strong enough to pull water from a three liter water tank with the hose submerged, if you're waiting for a proper accumulation pump water system.

I was profoundly disappointed by this company who I happily dealt with for years. They're great when everything goes well but if any issues arises you quickly feel like you're dealing with Rogers or Air Canada (yes they were that bad).

I’m considering a slayer, would you avoid them? Unfortunately I’m hearing this from a lot of people.

@@Cancer484 First-Slayers are awesome-I would have one but lack the counter space. The staff at idrinkcoffee are very good but if you have an issue that requires upper management, Luca (VP), Slawek or Anna(owners), it's brutal. My sense is that a formerly great company has grown too quickly and lost sight of what brought them their success initially. Based on my 18 month ordeal I could not recommend them.

@@Cancer484 The staff is generally good but if you have an issue that requires the involvement of upper management/owners (Luca, Slawek and Anna) it's brutal. I suspect they have grown too quickly and forgot what it was that brought their initial success-customer service. I could not recommend buying any expensive machine from them especially as they will call anything 'commercial' as a way of reducing their after-sale responsibilities.
