Jorge Villacura It's part of Jeff Hanneman's collection of historical flags and whatnot... what about it? One could just as well have a US flag and get stigma from a lot of other people as well, cause you know... US people are squeaky clean... they never committed genocide among the native Americans, or wipe 2 cities off the face of the planet or thrived on the slavery of African people at all, right? Man that guy's a monster. He has a really thrash y style here. It's swinging a little and I always liked it when Slayer had a little swing in their beat rather than the machine like thing in later records. Man, I didn't know him, only met him once, but I miss Jeff. He was the heart of this thing for me.

+Phillip hanna I met him back in March 2001 when he was touring with dying fetus in support of destroy the opposition. First time I've ever seen him and he blew me away. Awesome dude in person as well; very easy and down to earth when talking too!

1adoremusic Dude when you are trying out for a band, not only are they looking at how you play the songs, but your live stage energy. Kevin is one of my favorite drummers, dude has sick skill, but he was young here. And going against Lombardo who wanted his seat back. Thats a losing battle for any drummer. Also they probably saw him as too young, when the rest of the band had a lifetime of experience on him, at this point in their career, Slayer are probably only interested in the vets on the scene they know well to sit on that drum throne. Even Jon Dette who is also a beast of a drummer, has been trying to find a permanent seat in this band forever. But they only seem to call him up when they need a live drummer. Dette is always passed up for Lombardo or Bostaph. And Bostaph is probably going to flake soon too anyway and leave like he always does like with Slayer the first time and Testament on a few occasions. Kevin is better In Daath and his other bands, Slayer likely has another album under their belt or two before I see them retiring. Dave was probably right to leave the second time around, but I doubt Araya and King rely on Slayer for income. And have other stuff that pay better.

I actually own this DVD. He was selling them out the Chimaira van in mid 2000's. Like around 2005 ish. Sickest drummer in years. I can't wait to see him with Battlecross.

Met Kevin once. Quality dude. Tried to get me onboard with some sponsorship deals. He had the passion and fire of a local band member even though he was in six feet under. Meeting him was the pinnacle of my career. Nothing but respect for mr Talley. He even had hot dogs from the truck bed bbq. Good times in Seattle

Having been a die hard Lombardo fan, myself. I had never heard of this Kevin Talley before. He really does beat those things, with alot of passion. Though, the song Disciple has Bostaph on the recording, and it being my favourite, I actually prefer Talley. Though, still, Dave will always be my number 1 for metal. ^^

Not a fan of hardly anything post Divine. And? TBH, cannot stand the Diabolus and God Hates era. Not dissing your tastes just stating my preferences. Also, IK that the God Hates CD did bring/has brought lotta younger and or newer fans to the Slayer fanbase (which is good) but for us old school guys?
