I was there. First show I'd been to where NO one was leaving until the band finally walked off stage.

That happened at the show in Noblesville Indiana too. We had a thunderstorm come down hard before the show and delay it long enough to have to cancel the first act at for the showing here. Even though the meet and greet was expensive, it was worth it that show, because Slayer took care of us and made sure we had bar access to protect against the rain. that normally would have cost extra for us. There were people there that looked like they jumped into a pool before the show started, and I believe it was the first show of the season at that place, so it was a bit chilly.The show was great. I wish the meet and greet was like my other one with I had with Jake E Lee, where I could take a picture with my phone and didn't feel rushed. I don't blame the band for this. They were cool. it's just that it was a lot of waiting. I can understand that the storm we had there made them busy, but it would be cool to have had a quick group meet so we could tell them to play better music in the bar. I didn't think to record a video in the bar so you could hear that they don't play that music on any radio station across the Midwest or on your way to Florida. The music the bar played was nothing you would be drinking to in any bar that I been to either. this was the venues fault for making the time go slower while I waited. All and all it's what I remember when I think of the show I attended. I wish after a few years Slayer gets back together for a few shows. Ozzy and Motley Crue sort of ruined the idea of retirement, but gave some hope that Slayer will be back.

How has no one mentioned the way Tom looked at the end? When he walked up to the crowd and just stood there for like 2 minutes without moving or talking. You can see him in taking it all in. He is in disbelief. Thinking of the wild journey that has been Slayer. It was hitting him hard. You can tell when he went up to the mic after and gave that little mini speech. You could hear his voice cracking. He is genuinely going to miss this.

@Allan Franzner Not always. In Glasgow last year Gary threw a pick at my son on the barrier at the end of the show. (We'd met him at a clinic the night before then did the Slayer M&G beforehand). Pick fell short of the barrier. Gary screams at security guard to give it to my son. Rest of front row screams to give it to my son. I scream to give it to my son. S Guard picks it up and checks it's the right kid and hands it over. We give Gary a big chest thump, he does the same back, everyone smiles :)

@@bricktop. : People have jobs and shit. Besides, we're talking about Slayer here. Every show they do gets sold out. It happens to lesser known bands like Kalmah. Been listening to them for fifteen years, their first Los Angeles concert was in April. Sold out in like a fucking day. Luckily they came back to California and I would've missed them again since they sold out LA again on the twenty ninth. Luckily, I got tickets to see them in San Diego and drove almost a hundred miles to enjoy their first concert in San Diego. The moral of my story is that all concerts take a bit of effort to attend. That is, unless you're like my mom who won tickets to see Slayer and a few other bands during the 80's. I spent years caught in the hellhole of drug addiction, unable to afford concert tickets because all my money went to dope. I am SO, SO SO very grateful I got clean in time to see Slayer not once, but three times before they retired. Thanks for this vid. Kinda brought me some closure, and got me all choked up, god damnit!

Yeah prob for venue screens, but maybe the did a documentary or movie for the last tour or some sort of video that’s gonna come out 🤷🏻♂️ but it’s slayer so maybe not
@dmstewart664 жыл бұрын
Most of it was for the video screens but they also were recording a documentary type thing... A very proffesional camera setup was going through the crowd on the first night interviewing fans... so that will be a something somewhere... unless it was just for the band to watch. Pretty cool either way.

I got lucky to see them live in 2012. They absolutely kicked ass and didn't even disappoint. Watching this made me realize how much Tom was taking in that the time had ended. You can hear how much he appreciates his fans. This band made my childhood and teens absolutely kick ass. Thank you Slayer for the badass music. Happy retirement

Honestly, why couldn't it have been Metallica? They're overrated and they sold out the fans a long time ago but Slayer has never changed. Always at the top of their game and always giving the fans the best show at every show! I hope they have the best of times in their retirement and if they do ever come back, they'll still be #1 to all of us!!! It won't be a novelty reunion, it will be Slayer, raining blood like they never left!!!!

I saw slayers second to last show in NC, and ill never forget almost passing out at the show because it was so hot. It was an outside venue, almost 100 degrees, packed in a small pit area, and the whole stage was just fire. I literally felt my knees starting to give out and my eyes starting to close, I was about ready to hit the floor but they played angel of death and I snapped out of it. i'll never forget that show. forever proudly part of Slayer nation!

This one is for my buddy LT, the biggest Slayer fan I've ever known, and had Slayer tattooed on his arm. In 1986 we slept in his truck in below freezing Denver weather to get front row in a tiny venue the following night. We met all the original members that day and got autographs. Sadly, LT took his own life on December 1, just two days ago and just one day following Slayer's last show. I'm devastated but will always cherish the good times we shared because of music. RIP brother.

Back in 1986 when I first heard Slayer and fell in love with their music I could have never imagined this moment would ever happen. I was kind of the elitist who believed they should have retired the band after Jeff's death. But I have seen them live many times with and without Jeff or Lombardo and they always delivered. Always. I'm sure in 10 years they will return for a reunion world tour or something like that. But that's ok with me. Fucking thrash legends that's what they are \m/ thanks for everything.
