Death Magnetic is a good album. It is not great but is good one. You can't say 'all nightmare long' or 'Judas kiss' are bad songs. The album has other decent songs as well.

At Yankee Stadium, Megadeth also had to sell their setlist short due to Dave's injury. They usually get an even longer play time than Slayer does. Yankee was the exception. Endgame happened in 2009. It's sold far more copies than both of Slayer's releases combined the past 10 years. What does that say? Megadeth appeals to a much wider audience, gets more radio play, and has a larger fan base. Playing after someone live doesn't always mean they're bigger.

Slayer was Slayer before when Paul played drums and slayer was slayer while Gary took the stage in Jeff's place over the last few years.. Hanneman was my favourite member in Slayer, always was and always will be and it sucks that he had to depart. That doesn't mean the band should break up, He wouldn't want that. As far as is goes with Dave, he isn't the only drummer Slayer has ever had. Bostaph kicked ass in Slayer, Just like he is today. Slayer will live on, as will our memories of Jeff.

And finally, hoping you read all 3 of my comments, if you want to see a better live reaction to Megadeth than to Slayer, just look at The Big 4 Live in Sofia. During Symphony, for example, the entire sea of people were jumping up and down, singing along with the band. During Raining Blood, there were several enormous mosh pits going nuts, but the people in the back weren't really doing much at all in comparison. The reactions are always different. Most of the time, Megadeth gets the bigger hype.

I'm talking strictly today, not 10-20 years ago. Those sales figures are ancient history. Slayer played after Megadeth at all Big Four shows. At the Yankee Stadium show, the response to Megadeth was lukewarm at best, while everyone went bat shit for Slayer. Slayer also headlined when they toured together in '10. That's no accident. I *LOVE* both bands & have seen both repeatedly over the last 7-8 years, & Slayer has higher attendance & more enthusiastic crowds. No reason to hurl insults.

joshAKAtheman Slayer is fine without Lombardo when they have Bostaph, now while I agree with Tom, Jeff is honestly the better member of Slayer over Kerry, Jeff's guitar skills and especially his song writing are both superior to Kerry's. While they are nearly perfect together, I would take Jeff over Kerry any day. The only reason Kerry is in the spotlight is he actually does interviews and stuff, Jeff never liked to and turned them down 95% of the time. Hence Kings Popularity.

And repentless noticably had its own sound, so they arent endlessly rehashing their material, each slayer album has a very noticeable, unique sound to it.

Slayer plays after Megadeth not because they're bigger, but BECAUSE of the crowd reaction. In 2004, they were named "Best Live Band". That gives them enough credibility to play over bigger bands like Megadeth. It doesn't mean they're bigger. Megadeth has had a MUCH higher live attendance worldwide. If you look at their stats. Megadeth's largest audience ever at a solo concert of theirs was over 150'000 people in Argentina!!! Slayer has never gotten anywhere NEAR that.
