Left this comment a few videos ago, but now I’m sold it’s a good idea for a new game show Friday blind! Both of you have $100 to wager. There are 6 blind bottles you taste and then bid on. Both must end with 3 bottles and minimum bid for a bottle is $15. That way you can go a bit crazy on a bottle but you can’t spend it all. Then who vote who has built the better lineup.
@vervor3 ай бұрын
such a good idea - still like it!
@Josh_P_19923 ай бұрын
I have 2 shows I would love to see. 1. Review your barrel picks blind and see what ranks the best. 2. Take 3 distilleries and get a bourbon and rye from them and blind them against each other. Which is better from each distillery and then the overall favorite of the group!
@user-YouTuber223 ай бұрын
There is value in reviewing hard to find bottles. First it confirms if it really is desirable. Second it prepares you if you have a slight chance to actually see it and have to make a decision. Third it gives a reading on the distillery.
@milesgonzo3 ай бұрын
I appreciate that you want your videos to be relatable and the bottles you review to be accessible. However, when comes to unicorn/rare whiskies, I assume many of us would rather experience it vicariously than not at all. Whether we get to taste the juice or not, half the fun is just kicking back and talking about it… and we’re glad to listen.

I think the market/state your in dictates the secondary market price. I live in Wisconsin a bottle of Blantons SFTB costs about $300-$400 depending on if you frequent the store and have a good relationship with the owner. Or win in it a lottery for MSRP. Great video as always 👍🏻🥃🇺🇸

Loved this video, and I’d love to see more editions of this! I think a fun twist on this would be a “competition-esque” style of video where each of y’all give each other 2-4 pours to guess the price of, and the “winner” is the one who was able to make the other guess the largest difference from the pours actual price (either way, lower or higher)! I think it’s a great way to showcase some amazing values, and also some pitfalls for unsuspecting consumers.

Appreciate the efforts you guys go to for these videos. That being said, sometimes you tend to over think the simple. This was a great video idea, but would just ask 2 questions A) what's your guess at MSRP, B) what's the most you'd pay for it? Release year, unicorn status, yada yada can be discussed afterwards. Personally, I didn’t mind it. Sometimes you change your mind once you have that info. If it were something I really liked and said $100 and then found out that it could rarely be had, I might change my mind. Prices are functions of both supply AND demand. You can’t completely put the supply part of that aside as you make your decision.
