I personally use a weighted blanket, and I would imagine that the sleep pod wouldn't replace that. The weight from the blanket gives me a really cozy feeling, albeit a bit warm for someone that likes sleeping cold. I couldn't go back to anything else, this included. Thanks for the review!

There are even some that will have 2 different covers, one with a cool bamboo side and the other with a soft velvety warm side. I've also see one that was like a thick crocheted throw, that basically has holes throughout the blanket for air circulation but is still heavy blanket.

the downward pull on the shoulders would actually be a pro for me. i struggle with raised shoulders and it causes neck pain so I have to force my shoulders down when I sleep

I'll be honest, I have one of these and actually really enjoy it for non 'sensory' reasons. I got one to try cause I would sleep with my hands pressed under my jaw and it was agrivating my tmj and this kept my hands down and helped break that sleep habit. I needed it for specific sleep needs and it was great for those specific needs. My biggest problem with it was I love sleeping with a pillow between my knees and its quite challenging to do so with one of those on. Just throwing my 2 cents out there if there is anyone else that has similar issues, I learned its not a super uncommon sleep posture issue as both my brother in law and mother in law slept with their hands up under their jaws when they slept and this helped train them to not do that anymore.

I love the sleep pod I use it regularly and honestly just stick your feet out and pull it up in emergencies. But you don't like compression or don't like being wrapped up in the blankets the your most likely won't like this. I don't like weighted blankets because they are to heavy for me personally and the light weight of the sleep pod is a plus.

@@joecaroselli9945 the original mattress is well worth its money and the purple stretch sheets is just the cherry on top. They’re the reason why I use both sheets now they’re so luxurious. They also make pajamas out of the stretch material and are also well worth their money. If you had to choose between the PJs and the sheets I’d say go with the PJs. But both are like being wrapped in a cloud!

I just got one for Christmas! I love it but I have to exchange it for a smaller size so I actually get some compression. I'm the kind of person that will wrap themselves up and steal all the blankets from her husband. I also love my weighted blanket but again....I like to cocoon myself and they don't cocoon very well. I'd suggest getting it a size smaller than what you would normally buy for clothing.

I got this for my daughter who has night terrors, PTSD, and is Autistic (wrinkles in sheets really bother her) hoping she would love it, because weighted blankets were not her thing. But nope, the Sleep pod was it either.

My problem with most bedding is polyester. I can't sleep at a comfortable temperature no matter what the air temp is at if its a synthetic material. I have cotton blankets for the summer, and feather/down comforters in the winter. I would also try sleeping on a sheepskin with a lighter blanket on top. I keep one across the lower half of the bed, and it's been amazing (like 3 years now). It's soft, but it's textured, and soothing to rub my legs and feet against at night when I'm agitated. My bf also has nerve issues in his legs and this has been really calming for him too. Our youngest cat absolutely adores it. He was a bottle baby since he was less than a week old, so they have a natural tendency to suckle on things for life, and our sheepskin happens to be it. So sometimes we find cold wet spots on it from him. Just be sure to get a real sheepskin and not some faux fur thing.

20F: sever anxiety and PTSD,, If you're someone who struggles to feel safe at night and comfortable, This is SO soothing, the fabric is cooling, It does hold you gently, it feels like affectionate pressure, rather than just a constricting blanket. I recomend it if you already like weighted blankets!

The best compromise is gonna be making one that compresses from feet too armpits. With enough flex to allow your legs to position somewhere comfortable. Constricting the arms is probably the deal breaker

I tried a weighted blanket and it didn’t work out for me. I like to be able to move around when I sleep. That said, I have had guests that really like it and it is comfortable for sitting on the sofa watching TV. I’m sure the same is true about this product. I have bought several products you have featured and my favorite is the bacon cooker “cup” thing. During quarantine I made a lot of big family breakfasts and the bacon cooker makes good bacon and is easy to clean.
