You provided so much emotion and made Gollum relatable-I feel that same desperation when I lose my keys! Great job, it really makes him pitiable. I was actually sad for him losing it. It made me think of how noble what he did really is, holding onto the ring all that time to keep it safe.

I read the paperbacks, recommended by friends, several times. Many years later, my first daughter saw how much I enjoyed them and gave me leather bound copies. Then the movies came, really good movies. I watched them and the cartoon movies. Now, this comes years after the movies. I’m getting old, now; but I still enjoy the stories.

These are wonderful - you’re doing a great job. Nice to hear everything as the book was written - rather than an abridged broadcast version. Originally I was going to leave a comment about what an excellent job you did with Gollum. I see a number of others have beaten me to it however - so I am agreeing with them. If I happen to fall asleep listening to these - it is only because I was tired to begin with! (Listening to your readings has also shifted the algorithms for me to things other than political content - which has got to be healthy!)
