Yes! About time OVERKILL REVIEWS come back. I've been bored out of my head watching all the old ones. Not only that, but it's with my favourite, Blayne!

Bootleg reviews are better than a lack of reviews, and this was still great! Releasing this album on 4/20 with only a day's notice was brilliant; no need to worry about hype and speculation, just throw the thing out there on the day everyone was going to listen to Sleep anyway, and let the masses love it for what it is. Legendary band, they've still got it.

4:01 You see dear Blayne Musicians of this caliber (Both in Musical and Weed Smoking Chops) smoke weed so much it pushes them past the “Smoking Too Much to actually create things” phase and Into a newer frontier where smoking even more weed somehow brings you back into peak creative form
@corvus4186 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to see more albums covered! Way too many end up missed so less editing is fine by me. My only gripe is that no music clips are shown, so I have no frame of reference for anything. I'm glad this video was made, but it's exponentially less useful due to no clips. Also, I always find intro songs as just lazy, ESPECIALLY if there's no transition into the next song. Incorporate it somehow into a song itself, don't take the lazy way out.

Thank you! I’ve been waiting for this Sleep review! I knew you would come through😀

I'll be honest, I really enjoyed this style of video. I like anything you guys do, anyway, but I really liked it. If I had a complaint its just that I wish there were some music clips. The only reason I say that is I know nothing about these guys (working on it) so hearing a couple samples would have been cool. That said, I still loved it. Get well soon, Blayne!!!

I enjoyed the Bootleg Edition here, and honestly I really don't mind the more subdued delivery from you Blayne. Sometimes the sillier stuff like with Morbid Angel just doesn't work quite as much for me, but I'll still watch no matter the style

The Sciences hasn't left my playlist since it came out. It's not the groundbreaking monolith that Holy Mountain or Dopesmoker are but it fits perfectly into their catalog. Can't think of a better way to get up for work today thanmaking a pot of dank coffee, burning down a gram of white widow and finding this review waiting in my notifications. Hope that shoulder heals up quick Blayne! Cheers!

To me it’s gonna be my AOTY. I don’t know how a band that hasn’t came out with music in almost 20 years can make an album that sounds amazing and still somehow expands their sound. It’s amazing.

I have been waiting for this review ever since 4/20. I hope they do a non bootleg edition. Blayne is always hilarious, I just wish they gave him the whole editing package with sound clips from the album. I personally would give The Sciences 5 out of 5 pot leaves. I hope to see a lot more Blayne Smith, the dude is classic.

YES Blayne coming in with the guerilla reviews! The more loose style is totally fine and if it means we get reviews like this, which wouldn't happen otherwise, then I'm all for it. Thankfully didn't miss this one due to roadburn and being bombarded with Sleep shirts haha. And you know, all the hype. And not only did we get a good Sleep record on 4/20, fucking Elysian Blaze (blackened funeral doom, not weed related, this isn't a joke) released one of his best tracks after 5 years of total silence!
