What makes Sleep Token so obsessing is this whole mystery around their lyrics, their origins and around this kind of universe they created, and I love how you try to explain all this and to bring us more knowledge about them. These creatures have been a big question for me since the release of TMBTE so thanks for that. All the theories we can create about this band contribute to the whole experience of Sleep Token and you help a lot with that.

Fantastic interpretations. 1. I just noticed that the lower appendages of the "Take Me Back to Eden" guardian are the same as the "Vore" guardian. 2. My favorite fan interpretation of "Are You Really OK?" is that it's sung by Vessel's mother to him after witnessing a lot of self-harm (or at least noticing that he's not well). There's a feeling of previous intimacy but that isn't as close as before. It ties into the umbilical imagery of that guardian, the fetus isn't being borne inside of her, it's distant (outside the body in another container).

Came here to say the mother theory as well, I mean it just fits so well. Listening to Vessels previous project, it appears his mother wasn't particulalry great

Wow, fantastic insights, Keith! I totally share your view. When I first noticed the umbilical cord, I thought about a motherly figure too. The idea of nurturing and mothering, along with self birthing a dangerous being inside of us, has always been present in my interpretations. Great observation about the appendages! The connection between the guardians is fascinating. Your favorite interpretation of "Are You Really OK?" being sung by Vessel's mother resonates deeply. The imagery of the fetus outside the body ties in perfectly with the song's themes. I ca't even fathom how much attention to details has been dedicated, and it's mesmerizing and rewarding to watch a band and their passion for creative expression. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Let's keep exploring these layers together.

Finally have time to watch this but I literally was wondering if you’d done a video about this yet a couple hours before you posted. So thank you!!

Something I mentioned when the first singles were released with the characters, is that they also look like representations of each of the band members. Chokehold- iii or the bassist the Summoning- Vessel, as seen from his stage wardrobe, Granite- ii with the double axes like drum sticks (also wears a double axe necklace) and Aqua Regia- iv or guitarist with the character having 7 total strings. Just another way to look at it! As always, love your videos!

I hadn't thought about that, but this is super interesting, thank you, Rebelleinred :)

I love this, Alex. Thank you! Each guardian is so intricate and interesting. Especially the Vore guardian. A Praying Mantis definitely has a painful BITE. Don't ask me how I know. 😄

Thank you Teresa! I share your views, they're intricate and one feels the urge to know more about them. The praying mantis scares the hell out of me, but it's fascinating at the same time, hehe

I don't know if anybody noticed but the video is the same duration as TMBTE. I won't explain further.

Indeed a subtle but intriguing detail, hehe ;)

I just noticed that the DYWTYLM creature looks like a heart. And when you said it was like an engine, I thought, interesting, the heart is that to the body. Anyone else see that? The heart also makes it hard to fight back sometimes hence the small weapons and the tentacles remind me of vessels, no pun intended and/or maybe the need to attach to something.

The angel of death is very much related in a biblical sense to Adam and Eve, as them being casted out of Eden, Eve eating the forbidden fruit, as a serpent told her too. ( rain - coiled up, tangled in a trance.) The angel armed with a sword of fire, also has a apple in other hand. This figure angel prevent their return to Eden in the bible. An apple is also seen early on in their music vid for Thread the needle . I’m beginning to wonder if Vessel uses these types of biblical or other references as inspiration to draw upon, as the base layer for his song writing, then projects them onto real life situations or emotions that us the listeners can relate to. Maybe he has also been through things himself, that we will never really know. Sleep might just be his shadow self, or vice versa, an inner struggle with himself and maybe how he has been treated or treated others. Hence him needing to be someone new, redeeming himself to get back into Eden. Just my thoughts. Great video :)
