Evaj! I hope you have been keeping well and looking after yourself! I’m happy that enjoyed this one so much 🖤 I’m using new orchestral libraries and they just allow so much more flexibility and depth than my old ones. The solo instruments especially like in this track are so rich and smooth which allows to convey more emotion with every note. Thank you so much for your continued support, it really does mean a lot 🖤

Hi Yaksha! I had to take advantage of how much space there was in this song and the best way to do that is with emotional solo strings. I wanted the strings to reflect the emotional exposure of the song and lyrics. A joy to work on!

Ahhhh shit. Not again 🤧🤧🤧🤧 Ouch. This one hurts. I almost lost it from the beginning (rough song for me). Thought I was going to be strong and brave today. Then 0:41 happened, with its lovely crescendo, and the flood gates opened 😩😫😭😭😭 You may have outdone yourself this time. Thank you, my friend. Forever grateful for you 🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤

Hi Menm! Sometimes it’s good to just let it out, you are obviously still struggling with some past trauma that still lingers within you and facing that trauma is the best way to cope with it. You’re always welcome to message me if you need someone to talk to if you’re having a rough day 🖤 sometimes a little support is all we need. I’m glad you liked this one despite it being a tough song for you. The world is a better place with you in it 🖤

Hi Jamie! I love this. The strings sound like they're part of the original composition. Really really natural sounding. Absolutely killer :) Sorry I haven't commented on your previous videos! I've had a suuuper busy few weeks. Got married and all that :) I hope you're well!
@jamieturton6662 ай бұрын
Arn! Yeah you said you were getting married! Congratulations to you both! I hope the experience was everything you wanted it to be and more! These are from a set of new orchestral libraries I’ll be using from now on - they offer so much more in terms of control of realism and depth. I’ve got something quite different coming up next week that will showcase the strings a little more - I hope you like the Lord of the Rings soundtrack! 🙃🤫 Good to have you back brother!

I'm ugly crying at this one. I can't remember when was the last time I had this happen to me with a song. For the love of God and everything that is holy, WHAT A MASTERPIECE. BRAVISSIMO, MAESTRO!!! (KZbin was being an arse and I ended up accidentally posting this comment in your version of Missing Limbs which, yes, also had me crying but not as much as this one.)
@jamieturton6662 ай бұрын
Hey Kristin! The quiet nature of this track just needed the simple and exposed solo strings to really emphasise the depth of this song. Don’t get me wrong - I enjoy the louder and more heavy songs but when the option of raw dynamics and soaring vibrato afflicted strings become the only option for a song, I really enjoy the process just as much as all the others. Thank you for your continued support of these works, I honestly really appreciate it my dude 🖤

You've definitely gotten better at balancing the added accompaniments without drowning out the vocals or original arrangements. Well done! Here's hoping that Dark Signs is in the Pipeline and then maybe Calcutta :) Worship
@jamieturton666Ай бұрын
Hey Richie! Yeah it’s honestly quite a difficult task to blend additional instruments into an already mixed and mastered track sometimes, these more open songs are easier to meld new elements into them but I’m learning some tricks to improve the end results 🙂 You’ll be pleased to know that Dark Signs and Calcutta are both coming up pretty soon so shouldn’t be too long to wait! @@jamieturton666 I hear you! I was just thinking about it the other day, that all the songs from the room below, thanks to their modest instrumentation leave a lot of room for creative expression, and the orchestral bits just fit perfectly in. That's not to say they don't in other, more "cluttered" songs. It's actually quite impressive how you managed to fit the orchestra in Chokehold, and not overdo it. Good stuff all around! Can't wait to hear "Dark signs". ❤ I really hope you get spotted by the boys and invited to do some colab...That would be something to look out for! All the best!
@jamieturton666Ай бұрын
Yeah it’s not always easy to fit everything in around an already mixed and mastered track but I do try my best 😅 Unfortunately I feel like I’m too ‘small fry’ to be noticed by the boys but I’ll continue to do these nonetheless as I do very much enjoy the process! I hope you’re keeping well! 😊
