Imagine the time and money it would take to make 6 or 7 quality music videos for an album while keeping the same single release schedules. The creature visualization is perfect for the feel of the music and enhances it rather than take away focus.

I really don't understand sleep token and I don't meen to sound elitist but have people got so fed up of metal that they would rather listen to a band that aren't really metal at all and claim them to be the best new thing in metal?. Maybe I've heard the wrong songs but it seems like there music is 80% other genre's, mainly ambient pop and rnb with a metal section stapled onto it. I get this would be a cool gateway to people who aren't that into metal to begin with, also the songs seem to take so long to get to the point and usually I love longer songs and when bands take a progressive path with there music if its executed well. Again don't meen to sound elitist and I like all kinds of genre's but some for me just don't gel with metal as good as others and there poppy approach just feels like too much of a stretch to flow well.. again just my opinion, no more valid than anyone elses if you enjoy the band more power to you.

I just think their generic and not very good. Also, when you rely on gimmics (masks, figures), sure it can be cool, but in this case, I think its covering up the mediocore music.

@@blackfox1320 I wouldn't necessarily say there generic in the context of how they put there music together, they are quite unique in that way however if you take the sections and analyse them individually then yeah I hear where you are coming from, they don't do much that is really super impressive. I think if they were more focused on one specific style they would sound abit more consistent. Not saying it isn't cool when bands mix genre's up, but the overproduced poppy vocals then going into metal riffs just doesn't sit right with me, and I think clean singing in metal is awesome, I love loads of metalcore bands that use cleans. Also gimmicks can kinda be abit lame sometimes but that's a matter of perspective I guess, I don't judge someone's music based on there stage appearance so to me it seems abit pointless

@Nemesis86 the metal parts are so haphazardly thrown in. But for me it's the hype train behind these guys seems really undeserved. I really can't think of another band that's gotten this kind of treatment. If they play at metal festivals, that will bring them back down though.

I'm not hating on this band and I can see how people like them but what am I missing with them? I don't understand how a slightly heavier Imagine Dragons album is being called a masterpiece. Yes the lyrics are good but everything else is mediocre

I think it is how it is being delivered musically, or how an individual connects to the songs and interprets them.

It’s not for everyone if you just want to hear the same riffs, and rocks over and over the new Metallica album should be for you. This is music that is totally unique and original.
