I second this comment. I can’t put into words how much sleep token have made me gain a deeper love for music. They practically saved my life when I was at my lowest. They’ve easily become my favourite band and it’s been so incredible to watch them grow, considering I’ve been listening since their second EP. When you listen to Chokehold, first song off this album, you'll hear that line 'It was no accident' that was brought back in this song. I absolutely understand holding off on listening in order to make the reaction vids, absolUTELY, but I very highly recommend going through starting from sundowning and ending with this album. They did something very special, as artists, and wrote a story that begins with the first album and ties in to the third. The third album has a lot to appreciate as first time listeners for sure, but the sheer depth grows to higher moments of appreciation once you've consumed the others. They do quite a lot of callbacks to other songs in this album. It's a work of true art

It also is painting the story of a love that is known by both parties to be toxic, yet pursuing it with violent fervour and passion because that's what the heart wants, even though it's so very evident that abuse, pain, and self sacrifice/destruction is happening. Then turns to the realization of things, after the flash in the pan has passed, and watching as you pour your all and only receive pain. Then culminates in the self granted freedom of growth and beginning the journey of healing. It's remarkable.

No Chokehold is the first song off THIS record, Euclid, the final track is a callback and a full circle to the first track in the first album of this three album Trilogy, the song being The Night Does Not Belong To God.

I have enjoyed seeing you experience and fight the emotional nature of this song. It helps me realize that I'm not the only one who feels this way and that it's okay to feel this way about this song. You are in for a great and wild ride. If you are up for a suggestion, I would suggest doing a listen through from beginning to end of Sundowning followed by This Place Will Become Your Tomb and ending with Take Me Back To Eden. If you do it this way, you will get a lot of the call backs and references that ST does. In this song, at the end there are call back lines/melodies to the first song in this record called Chokehold. "It was no Accident" and "Tangled up like branches in a flood" are the lines I'm referencing. I feel like you would greatly benefit from this journey personally. As someone else said, "Sleep Token will heal us all!"

I only started watching reaction videos after i got into Sleep Token a couple of years ago. They very quickly because very special to me and i love seeing people discover them! The other track of the new album that I would HIGHLY recommend is Euclid. As for older stuff, definitely Bloodsport (room below version) as the emotion is just so raw and heartfelt, The Love You Want as the video and song combined make it an incredibly beautiful experience, and The Offering, Higher and Jaws. The Way That You Were too, just vocals and organ. I had that song on repeat for like two days when I discovered it lol.

The reason why everytime the guitar comes in it sounds like a breakdown is because they have 8 string guitars tuned to drop E which is a whole octave lower than standard guitar tuning, which as a guitarist is insane to wrap my head around.

All of the videos for this album are visualizers. I wish they would enable the captions for them. If you do a deep dive into Sleep Token, start at the very beginning with the EP "One." The production has gotten infinitely better since then, but all of the components are there: the songwriting, lyrics, vocals, crazy low-tuned guitars, and genre bending and blending all over the place. As for this video, the winged figure is the deity Sleep that you mentioned. She is holding an apple in one hand, symbolizing the Garden of Eden. All of Sleep Token's songs are about Vessel's dysfunctional relationship with this sort of villainous, evil deity. The lyrics read to me like "Eden" was the beginning of their relationship, before he realized what Sleep truly was. The blissful ignorance of her destructive side. So he wants to go back to when he didn't yet know how much she would hurt him and turn him into a shell of his former self. Take Me Back to Eden was the third in a trilogy of albums about this storyline, so I guess maybe we'll get a different storyline starting with the next album?

Made up of Sundowning -> This place will become your tomb -> take me back to eden (album). A total of 34 songs not including sundowing bonus tracks or the songs you already listened to. If you want something outside the saga then I suggest JAWS. Or something off of "One" or "Two".

For the news the track is from the last album of a trilogy starting with Sundowning then This place will become your tomb and finally Take me back to Eden. Prior to the albums there was 2 Eps and a single. They tend to do things in 3s Then there are the cover versions see Outcasts HEY YA. And the the room below tracks of just Vessel and a piano. Your going to be very busy. I'm not even going to pre 20166 or even further back to 2011. Vessel is the creative genius behind everything bar the drums that's all down to II.
