either his hands are HUGE or Legator figured out the best way to make a 8 string neck. That neck looks about the size of my 7. Also, Leo Jaymz has a knock off, of this guitar for 300 and im so tempted

Haha! My hands are pretty normal sized but I always struggled with normal sized necks. I always assumed it was the way my fingers curl into another. Longer scales were always more comfortable to me. With that said. Legator made a EXTREMELY comfortable 8 string. I'm honestly blown away how it plays. most guitars i owned kinda lost that flair over a few months. But this one I'm always happy to play! I also bought this based on its specs! The 28 inch scale and the evertune really helps these low af tunings. I still use a 85 on the Low E cause the tension makes for a better recording. All things I learned from people who's on another level than me who were more than kind enough to share their knowledge. Also! The Ritelight fretboard is a GAMECHANGER for me. I don't have the best humidity control in my room. And that leads to Sharp frets in the winter time on my other guitars. That's no issue on this. No cracked boards like ebony tends to do if not treated. I cleaned it with a paper towel and some basic house cleaner once loll!

Tbh! It was a bit of a happy accident! I believe a big factor is the guitar, too. I know they use active pickups as well. Scale length and string tension is extremely important for these lower tuning. The evertune is a godsend on top of that. Otherwise, it wasn't too different from what I normally use to jam on! I have changed some things from then. Chasing guitar tones has always been a passion of mine.

Drop E Transposed a half step to Eb. Highly recommend a 27 inch scale and up for these tunings. Mine is a 28 inch with a 85 gauge string for the low E.

Dude this is the best cover of this song. Also I’m 90% close to getting this exact guitar but can’t get over the mixed reviews I see of legator everywhere and for that price. How has yours been in terms of quality? Any slight defects?

100% honesty. I'm not endorsed or affiliated. Absolutely LOVE this guitar. Quality wise is top notch. No QC issues at all. Few features I love. 1 the Richlite fretboard was new for me and where i live in NY. We have dry winters and humid summers. I also had issues with sharp frets. That's not a issue since it's not made of wood. 2.The 28 inch scale vs the usual 27 inch makes a giant difference. Especially with these low tunings. The radius is nice and flat too. Having the Evertune is a must at this point. I had a few before and I'll own nothing but evertune guitars after tbh. If you learn how to set them up. They are a god send. And yea! It looks awesome with the buckeye and all! Also fishmans are great! I know some people might not like this but I actually have a EMG 81 8 (not a 808🤢) atm and I really like it! With that said. Having active pickups the soderless ports give you options between Fishmans,Emgs and maybe even the duncan blackouts. Atm I have moderns. Tosins. A 81 and a 57. They are all awesome in there own ways! Highly recommend Legator. They are fairly new compared to alot of companies but I think they are just getting better and better.

Drop E but using the Gojira Plugin I dropped it Eb. And I used a custom set from Stringjoy! 8.5 11.5. 15. 24w. 32. 42. 56. 85. It's also important to note! My guitar scale is 28 inches. I actually sized up on the bottom 3 strings recently and I like it alot. My low E is a 90. Which adds to around 20 pounds of pressure. Which is what I am for ok my wound strings.

@romanmaster5219 Thank you bud! In this video it's Fishman Moderns! But currently I have a EMG 81 8. (Not 808s) I still have the fishmans. I also have a Abasi set. And Emg57 and a EMG 85 8x on the way! With the actives being plug and play. Having options is pretty fun tbh. I know Fishmans are all the hype buy EMGs are still great in my opinion.

@@FrankAltieri Yes and his 30" 6 string (ok 29.75" when he was using the Gretsch) is just EADGBE. One thing that I noticed (at least live, of course I have no idea what they did in the studio), is that IV likes to play near the nut. For example in the chorus of the summoning, he don't use the 8th string. It's - 222 / - - 355. Then - 222, - 355, - - 355.
