some people don't like this kind of music or guitar playing or this style. youtube may have suggested it to them. there are new people being born and using the internet every day. they don't all like the same things, some don't like this. the feature serves to give us all a chance to show our preference. it is used not only to better personalize suggestions for you or me or them and show us what we liked and not show what we did not, it also serves to curate content in general. thumbs down on youtube are not scores or grades that say the video or the person in it are bad or worthless (yes, sometimes it's a really badly made video of something good and you downvote it cause the effort was not there). it's just a simple tool to show you content you like and to help the "suggested" part do it's job after learning your preferences. it learns those preferences by - looking at your likes and dislikes.

@@henningsS In order to get that Pedalsteel sound he is bending the string (raising the pitch) and hitting the bar (lowering pitch) at the same time, and if you dont do it the right way, its very easy to miss the key by going either flat or sharp. Also, when you play it by yourself on guitar, you gotta cover a lot of ground, keeping the rythm section tight and the melody going at the same time, while including all the little embellishments.
