@@paulc7572 what they mean is that if you changed the vette's driver (as in being replaced by a driver that would get an equal reaction time) the 2 vehicles would potentially get very close to equal 1/4 mile times. And that would mean that nobody "got owned" and I don't mean to say that the pick-up is not especially impressive but it was the vette's driver and not the vette that caused the embarrassment.

Those 5.0 f150s are badass, in my opinion way better option than the Ecoboost. Not as much power in stock form, but the 5.0 responds to mods better than any mainstream V8. Although that may not be true either, I just know the 5.0 is a great motor for any gearhead

If you listen, the Corvette driver wasn't sleeping. The vette reached the rev limiter, the vette was popping because it reached the point you Don't go past. But that Ford pickup running 11.5 in the quarter is just crazy. Man, I don't think I need to get to work that fast. But that is unthinkable in a sleeper F-150. Crazy fast

I have the exact same setup on my pickup 2020 f150 4x4 xlt. have taken it to the strip twice, having trouble getting it to hook though, best I can do right now is 13.9@104mph. street tires mind you lol

Lol, well that's what happens at the races sometimes. That truck is definitely a sleeper. But the vette driver was sleeping. In two wheel drive, I agree with other posters that truck would not pull on the vette from the dig. But in 4wd High, trucks leave. I think he was in 4Hi. Like others said, the race should have been close, but the Corvette driver ran 12.60. A good time, but not for that car.

If you incorrectly launch the C8 the computer stalls out the throttle response, you could cross a painted crosswalk and lose a half second. The C8 would blow away the pickup all day, I should know I own one. Takes a few launches to do it right and understand the surface your driving on.

Most n/a Supercrews are in the 12’s at best. I’ve seen ONE that ran 11.35. And the amount of money you have to put in that truck to get that on motor is insane. Obviously the Whipple packs more power but you can pulley down on the roush and beef the trans and rear and you’re in the same ballpark.
