with regards to the whole divorce discussion, kids arent stupid. they can tell when their parents hate each other. my mom and dad havent liked each other in years, but they still stick together "for the kids". its uncomfortable and awkward when you see your friends parents laughing and joking with each other, only to come home to your own parents avoiding eye contact with eachother and only talking when they need something from the store. because of them, ive had to ask my friends for advice how to interact and be a normal, functional human being, because i dont see any of that at home. if two people no longer love eachother, just get the divorce. dont stick together for the kid. theyll be sad for a month or so, but having parents in loving relationships is far better than ones where they dont even sleep on the same floor anymore.

As a Catholic (still am), I grew up in the Catechism and learned literally every explanation about certain things that didn't make sense to me. My dad and especially this one priest I knew ALWAYS told me it's perfectly fine to have questions about faith and ask about certain things, even if there are no solid answers, and I'm okay with that. It's sad to me when I hear about bad religious experiences. I get that people go through a lot or some were not taught that well with it, but in most cases, I think it has to do with answers and justifications. I feel that even with science, we will never find out everything there is to know about the natural world and have an answer for everything, or are able to hold onto every piece of history as an important part of what made the world. I don't think it's farfetched to believe that one day, if humanity lives into one million in the future, we will forget about someone like Albert Einstein, Hitler, or even Jesus. Faith to me is learning about why beautiful structures and pieces of art throughout history were made to honor some dude from the desert, or how some miracles happened and how eyewitness accounts never change, even when others with the same story have never been in contact with one another or the story was never passed around.

Hey SleepyCast, the thing with the seven deadly sins isn't about you occasionally acting on them. It's having those sins rule your life. You life a life or anger and rage, sin. You live a life lusting after things, sin. You live your like bitter and resentful, sin. It's overdoing those things that make them sinful, not just occasionally feeling angry or proud.

Regarding the troll names and troll accounts. I remember Cory's ChainReacti0n account which was something he made way back in 2009. He used that account to commentate and troll various kids who made Sonic recolor art and videos. And any time when they made a video responding to the hate that they got cory would take the audio to that and added it to some gameplay footage of various SNES and Sega Genesis video games that he would play like this one Animaniacs game or Cool Spot. And of course there would be old Skype calls where he and his group of friends would troll various people. This aswell as the large amount of animations that he would upload on that channel like Brawl 4 and other cartoons that made it to his Newgrounds. In fact I believe when Cory first joined Newgrounds he was named Chainsaw Dentist before he changed it to just Spazkid. Also yes I used to follow Cory around on KZbin anytime he made a new youtube account after one got banned. And his current one Spazkidin3D was a channel that has been up longer compared to his older KZbin accounts.

Here is my two cents on Mick's Jesus question: Before God sent Jesus down to chill with us just because you prayed for forgiveness (and actually felt bad for it) did not mean you would be forgiven. You had to not only bee a stand up citizen but if you did something really bad there was a specific way you had to ask for forgiveness (see Leviticus in the Old Testament), these ways of asking for forgiveness were rather complicated and expensive (for the time). Many people were probably turned off by this and thought it was too much hassle so they left the faith. After some time God decided that it was time for a change, religious leaders were becoming more corrupt, temples were being used for gambling and selling livestock, and people were just getting worse over time. So he decided to send down Jesus, his son, who he would hope would be able to lead the people of the world away from the lives of sin and greed that had been taking over the current religious leaders. And Jesus garnered a big following, at the time there were a lot of "street teachers" who would try to tell people how to act but Jesus was the only one who didn't threaten the everyday person and didn't shout on the street corner. He more or less just hung out with his friends talked to some people, washed some feet, and people started to follow him. One day Jesus entered a temple which was being used for gambling and not prayer so he started flipping tables (literally) he was telling people how the house of God should be the house of God and not something akin to a bazaar. This pissed of the current priests, so they started talking with their Roman buddies about how they wanted to "take care" of the guy who was threatening their power. So Judas sold Jesus out to the Romans who put him on trial. Pontious Pilate (Roman leader) thought that killing a man for pissing off some priests was stupid but the people at the "hearing" demanded he crucified Jesus. And to save himself from a riot, he had Jesus beaten, whipped, and then crucified. TL;DR Religious leaders got corrupt. God thought it was time for a change. Sent down his son to spread the word. Religious leaders didn't like this. God realized that he could not save Jesus so he told Jesus he would have to suffer from the very people he was trying to teach. He would even have to spend a few days in Hell. Jesus died and then rose to heaven (to show that he was truly divine). Now we don't have to waste our time and money on lengthy forgiveness rituals (that we may or may not want or be able to do) to be forgiven. We just have to be good men to each other and if we do something bad (and actually feel bad for it) we ask for forgiveness.

Alright Mick, I think I have your answer. The crucification and Jesus' death was the grand finale to much more powerful suffering. Jesus did the whole Atonement thing in the Garden of Gethsemane, where he basically said a prayer and then got to feel the suffering and pains and sins of all mankind for everyone who'd ever be on the earth, and THAT was the sacrifice. Because of the Atonement people could be forgiven of their sins, and Jesus would now know what it's like for humans to suffer and he could relate to all of the issues that people have in their earth lives. Not only that, but soon after he was resurrected he went back to heaven (like three days later), so he couldn't parade around doing miracles and teaching people anymore. So the sacrifice was that he felt the pains of everyone in the entire world so that everybody could be redeemed of their sins someday (I guess people born before him too somehow?) and then he had to leave and go back to heaven, so people didn't have him around to show them the right ways. This is where people had to rely on faith rather than fact with the guy. I do admit that it's a little unsatisfying that his "grand sacrifice" just ended with him being brought back to life, but the point of it wasn't the death - it was the pain and suffering and human emotion that he had to go through. I think that's it. I go to church myself, so this was a very interesting podcast to listen to.

The most successful is a two parent household with a both more masculine/direct influence and a more feminine/soft influence that have a HEALTHY relationship. This is because they learn how to have a relationship, respect others, compromise etc. Does this apply to every human being? No. It's just statistics; it's about increasing the odds of a good outcome. Note: This doesn't mean that two shitty parents who beat eachother/have screaming matches etc. are better than a semi-stable single parent house hold. It also doesn't mean that for gay couples it's much different than for straight couples. The most important factor is that there is two people with differences that show how to live harmoniously and love each other despite those differences, giving a good living example of how to replicate that in their future. Once again, this isn't a guaranteed outcome; but it's it's a fairly significant positive boost to your odds of things working out for the best. All that being said, always get a prenup; (as a male) you'd be absolutely retarded not to with how broken the divorce system is.

There are other things to, like if your loved one is in the hospital. Hospitals aren't required to honor visitation rights for unmarried couples.
@AkiraSatou4 жыл бұрын
It's very weird they do that.

I'm still partway through the cast but in regards to how people aren't monogamous thats actually in some ways pretty true. I read about this a while back how most cultures are made up of huge families because people stay in their family groups and merge when people are married etc and it's actually a very capitalistic conditioning to go out on your own with just one other person ---because suddenly the two of you have to spend all this money trying to support yourselves instead of relying on others and vice versa.. It's probably why divorce rates are so high tbh cause not only were people marrying young but friends and family are often cut off to an extent so you rely on only one other person for aaaallll your needs and emotional fulfillment. Idk I think things can work if youre someone who wants to be thrown into a pit of people and be happy or you want to be with someone but still closely surrounded by friends. Just my thought im throwin out into the void
