Sliced Pear Juliet Rose Instructions

Believe it or not: these David Austin blooms were crafted from thinly sliced pears! Perhaps you've seen pears baked into a colorful ombre cake wrap, or maybe you've seen them made into sugared "stained glass" crisps...here, they're used to create beautiful edible juliet roses, and now YOU can make them, too! If using a mandoline (as I do in this video) BE VERY CAREFUL and use all safety equipment (blade-proof glove, food safety pusher, etc.).

Oh goodness thank you again!!! These ones are so compact, they help up well for quite some time (at least a week). They do pick up moisture over time, but again, the tightly-packed nature of these ones really added some shelf life! It will depend on your apple variety and local humidity level, though...

Yes, just plain light corn syrup with my oil-based Colour Mill colors mixed in! Water-based pigment would work too, and powdered :)

Да, точно! У меня не часто под рукой есть глюкоза, поэтому я использовала кукурузный сироп... но такой похожий.
