Sadly, no. They were repoped in the 90s. And no longer made. You'll have to find a collector with a big stash hoarded. They might let go of a pair. You might come across some on Ebay every now and then. But they rarely pop up. I remember back in early 2000. Manny's in Venice had some tires, I thought he said $15 each, so I was like " I'll take them" but he's like no, $50 each. I was like , thats too much. But Now adays that's a real good and cheap price. I should have snagged them.😢

@@Schwinn_Addiction yeah they go for twice as much now. Which rear tire is correct for a 1968 stingray deluxe and standard stingray?

@jaimefernandez3076 I'm pretty sure all the stingrays used the slik. With the introduction of the poular Krate that year, which sported a Slik. The Deluxes had a white wall slik.

Schwinn_addiction it'll be cool if possible post how to fix restore/rebuild schwinn stingray parts :example atom drum 3 speed /5 speed and speedometer? Hard to find core videos of this and new to the hobby and sometimes feel like I hit a dead end wall . Thanks in advance

@@Schwinn_Addiction how about a video on the size of wrenches to use for removal of crank and the head tube. Crescent wrench is not an option for me as it moves and I don’t want to damage the hardware.

I know on 26 inch beach cruisers they sell 26 by “2”3/4 white whale tires that make s7s look like s2 ballooon tires. Do you know if they do similar for stingray. I would love to use s7s but get the slick back offset look???

@nopalboxellanos925 I've never heard of that. But there is a Slik for S7 called the Gripper slik. I looked up that tire, and I didn't find anything. But I did find the 26x2x1 3/4 Fit S-7. Which is a weird size. I haven't seen it in person to really see how it compares, but maybe I can go to the bike shop and see if they have one in stock.

You know, it costs a lot of money to get reproduction tires compared to ones for normal rims, but at least I can say I run my Sting-Ray with the original rims!

@@yourlocaldoomer ya, the way I see it. I'll get original tires for show bikes, not ridden. But I'll use any schwinn fit tire for my riders. The old original stuff will blow out if ridden.
