Wow, nice catch! Since the show is live, this clip must be an edited combination of the original live broadcast version and the unaired live rehearsal version. Maybe there were some problems with it so they had to "fix" it after the fact for future re-runs. And apparently Victoria had different earrings on for one of these performances.

Can’t understand why the Hooks/Lovitz exchange got more laughs than any of the Jackson/Martin stuff. New York crowd, I guess. Steve Martin must’ve written this. So sharply silly. Great ending sight gag

I can remember my family always saying to carry at least $100 cash in one's wallet when going out. It's interesting that in the decades since this aired that many businesses, including high end restaurants, have become cashless.

WE GET IT! The slide whistle plays when ever they hear good or bad news... Also alcohol induced date rape was still semi-okay in the 80s.

There was a great skit where Victoria Jackson and another player are working a factory assembly line where their job is to put whipped cream on the nose cones of nuclear warheads as they roll by on the conveyor belt. Does anyone know where to find this skit?? Anyone???

@@ku4uv Just assume this is one of the few fancy restaurants that don't take credit cards then. It's a comedy sketch, don't expect mundane realism from these types of shows. There's a more recent one about a game show where the host has sex with contestants' wives. It's all fake. These are just for a laugh.
