This video brings back so many beautiful memories, l loved the way it was but, it has changed so much l would rather hang on to the memories of a time gone by. Thank you so much for sharing your video. 😊😊😊😊🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I absolutely loved your video! It brought a tear to my eye. I lived in Malta from 1976-1978 and remember how original and traditional it was. Upon returning many years later I have seen the beautiful, cultural architecture ripped out and replaced by modern high rise blocks (that you can see in any big city). Please, people of Malta - preserve your USP - you can NEVER get it back. Don't bash down and out rip the glorious old buildings of such a wonderful place... do them up instead.

I was 25,yrs old.. Preluna htel was d highest building... More public spaces.. More double parking.. No traffic caos. . No local wardens.. Less cars.. Not many fast dangerous cars.... Maybe more fumes from old cars and old buses.. But more. Tranquility... Easier living although lower salaries... So overall much better... Wish you all a happy 2021..

As a six-year old in 1950 I lived on the third floor of a four-storey block of flats opposite Fortizza fort. It was then the tallest building on Sliema seafront. How things have clearly changed! We used to bathe from a narrow strip of shingle/sand beneath the ancient pier which I see still remains.

Thanks for comment. Have just come back from Sliema and the change - not necessarily for the better - is immense

My 1st visit to Sliema was 1980, back then Times Square was The Grenadier, I think. Sliema was and is a bit special. I guess time moves on. Great video.

I walked up Tower Road many times when I lived in Malta, based in St Andrews Barracks we often frequented Sliema for drinks and such. Wonderful memories, I hope to visit Malta this coming summer, beautiful rendition of this song...

Really cool, interesting video. Despite the many changes, I do love Malta as it carries an important place in my heart and I've been noticing the changes that are happening all over the island, but especially in Sliema recently, so seeing what it was like 25 years ago is fascinating!

my parents moved to Malta just before the war as my father was in the navy. I was born there before the war broke out - my father died in action and my mother in an air raid. I was brought up by a maltese family and then left Malta in 1959
