I wish I never sold my SM580. It was pretty much the best case for high performance, high heat components. Having a 280mm AIO makes a big difference when compared to a 240mm AIO.
@badlilstang3 жыл бұрын
@@Subdubbin I just ordered the SM580 in Slate Gray.. Love the look. Doing the new EK waterblock and using 4 X 140mm Noctua REdux fans.. Don't are about the LED stuff since no windows really. THe Redux fans are a nice complement to the case even though I am the only one that will see it lol. For me I like the sound of the older Noctua SSO bearings.. I have used hundreds of different fans over the last 23 years.. The original Noctua SSO bearing just sounds great to me. Love your setup. Sucks you sold it! lol

On the Sliger site, it is not recommended to use the X63 but it does not say it is incompatible. What was your experience? Did you come across any problems? Thank you.

why not using the fans provided by NZXT?

What I find interesting is that you modified your AIO with Corsair fans along with Commander pro & lighting module. Were the NZXT fans to large?

I went with Corsair fans for the RGB. That's the only reason 🙂

is it really good to put the power cable next to the riser?
@Subdubbin4 жыл бұрын
I thought about that being an issue. Potential signal interference. I never tried benchmarking it near the riser vs. away from the riser. It's probably fine. It's a shielded riser.

Does having the acrylic panel affect temps @Subdubbing ? Compared to if you had both vented.

A little bit, but not much since the airflow is coming from the bottom of the case.

did you use custom psu cables? if so, what are the lengths you used/recommend. I have basically all of the same parts in a nzxt h210i and am thinking about a new case with 3 slots for a possible upgrade from a 2080 super to a 3080.

I used the stock cables that came with the Corsair SF750 PSU. The Corsair Platinum SFX PSUs come with the sleeved cables you see here.

Did you have any trouble fitting the x63 in this case? People on reddit say that it's about half a mm too thick
@Subdubbin4 жыл бұрын
I did not have a problem fitting it. Sliger specifically recommends this AIO for this case because of the radiator's rounded corners.
@Subdubbin4 жыл бұрын
Oh, you are talking about the side panel clearance. The pump block sticks out like 1mm but it's not enough to make the acrylic side panel bow noticeably.
@TheImambagus4 жыл бұрын

I found the PSU cables the most challenging part of putting this build together (I have the same PSU Case and mobo) and I noticed you skipped over that part ^_^* Took me ages and I felt like giving up trying to stop them falling into the bottom fans

RGB fans are currently too much of a hassle for me with the nest of cables they leaves in their wake. Two minutes of this fourteen minute build is just taming the pile of wire, trying to tie it and bunch it and stuff it behind the front panel. Edit: You are really good at cable management BTW

I have the same motherboard. How do you have the command pro plugged in if you are already using the only USB 2.0 connection on the motherboard for the NZXT kraken cooler?

The Corsair Commander Pro has 2 USB 2.0 plugs (pass-throughs). I plugged the Kraken X63 into the Commander Pro.

@@Subdubbin Thank you for the reply! just ordered one. One more question, finished my build this weekend and put the psu fan facing the graphics card. Is there a reason you have yours facing that way as well? Ive seen a lot of builds online facing the other way towards the glass panel.
@biggorilla19994 жыл бұрын
John Sousa I think it’s done for the asthetic of not seeing the ugly grey Corsair fan. I have have this case with the dual vented sides, and I have my psu facing the vented panel so it has access to the fresh air. I’m sure it probably makes a negligible difference in psu temps, but it’s still something. I’m thinking of taking apart the psu just to paint the damn grey fan
