? Don’t you need electrical connection for t56? I was looking at the holy terminator x an it don’t have transmission connector
@slightlyMADcustoms Жыл бұрын
The T56 has a few connections on it, but none are needed to use the transmission in a LS swap. At the back of the trans there’s a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) which could be used to run a speedometer. For e30s the VSS is in the diff so no need to use it. There’s also a reverse switch on the trans. This is a basic switch that closes its contacts when the trans is in reverse. You can use this to trigger a relay to turn on your reverse lights. It’s not necessary to hook up, but some states may require you to have working reverse lights. The last connector is called CAGS (no idea what it stands for). Basically it’s a little solenoid that shifts the trans into 4th instead of 2nd when you’re driving under minimal load. Personally I think it’s pretty dumb, not necessary at all.

Did you elaborate more on the chase bays brake booster delete kit in one of your other videos? I am interested about your opinion on brake feel, Travel,etc. Great Video btw.
@slightlyMADcustoms3 жыл бұрын
No haven’t done a video on that guy yet. It’s not a perfect set up. The pedal is noticeably more firm. You get used to it, but it is firm. It’s my least favourite thing about the car. I’m sure the Wilwood dual master set up would be a bit better. But I’ve spoke to people that said it’s still quite firm. Probably the best solution is hydroboost
@Xero2853 жыл бұрын
@@slightlyMADcustoms Thanks for the swift answer. Did you hook up with the guys from chase bays before ordering? I saw that they will customise the master cylinder for each application. Thanks man! There’s no swap kits available for E30s for stronger rear ends which sucks. I’ve heard some people putting in E36 diffs and customs axles. But if I was making big power and wanted solid reliability I would go with a Ford 8.8 IRS rear end. They can be found in 2005 ish Ford explorers. Can handle insane amounts of power. yeah it's not always about what you can buy, it's what you want. personally i'd rather have some shitty 90's hatchback that's stripped out with a fart can 😂 cuz that's more fun than a brand new car imo

@@slightlyMADcustoms allow me to explain 2 things that should lessen the blow a little bit 1 your work is stunning, the car itself is an ugly car 2 i like the look of the prowler and the chevy ssr truck. so trust me, my opinion on attractive vechicles doesnt deserve any weight. Despite my personal feelings, the work youve put into this car is amazing
