Love this experiment! I also bought a Florida Beauty Green but I’m in the states, they sell them here usually as a “Reverted Florida Beauty” or a “Florida Green”. I had hoped it would give me some variegation but it never has. Still a beautiful plant and so easy to grow. I’m dying for a Variegated Florida Beauty but they are still very pricey. Will keep on the hunt on eBay for a baby one. Love your content!

Hi Ruby! Can you do an update? I just found your channel not long ago. And quickly became obsessed!! I have probably watched them all at least twice. I got into plants when I started my addiction recovery. Glad to say I made it to one year sober with the help of my plants keeping me sane! I am receiving my Florida Beauty in the mail tomorrow and couldn't be more excited! I only paid fifty dollars for a mature mid cut with roots and growth point popping! So excited to start my journey!

Very nice Florida Beauty Variegata! BTW the original Florida beauty is the all green one you have. Its a hybrid of Pedatum and Squamiferum. Sellers throw out names like reverted or green form. But its the original Florida Beauty.

Hey Ruby- I have a Florida beauty that has just put out a lime colored leaf that doesn't quite look to be variegated. The seller told me that the variegation appears as the leaf hardens off. Is this true? It's a full plant and the rest of the leaves are beautifully variegated so I'm just praying it's not reverting. Any advice? When I shine a light through the leaf it looks like there is some slight variegation but without the light it just looks lime green.

Hi yes that can happen when the leaf gets older it is going to show more I have had no problems with any of my beauty's reverting don't worry about it, I'm sure it's fine all the best 🥰❤

There is just the standard Florida beauty then there’s variegated fb

The variegated one is called florida beauty while the green are just called florida or florida green and then there is florida ghost ..but there's a lot of seller selling reverted florida beauty which is all green but you should buy from very trusted seller or your just going to end up with the normal Florida ..

That’s a plant scammer! 😣 The Florida Green is the Actual plant. But there are two forms of the Florida Green. The Florida Ghost and the Florida Beauty! But some sellers will sell their plants under different/fake/created names. Such as the Florida “Beauty Green” or Florida Ghost “Mint” which are just the same plants as the parent plants.
