Yes. There should be a round knob on each side bar. Loosen it and pull up the awning. Then retighten. Also, try sliding the web handle to the middle of the awning before pulling on it to open the awning.

On my awning you could unhitch the lower arm from the side of the trailer and put it on the ground. Always a good idea to cant the awning so that it drained and a big dump didn't fill up the awning and rip it.

Typical of any RV. When we were kids we rode in a truck camper. Stuff changed places. One trip Mom drove the truck to the bait shop and Dad rode in the back with us. He wanted to know why we headed for the overhead bed instead of sitting at the table. He found out. He said something about how wild Mom's driving was and we informed him it actually was pretty tame. We usually had everything picked up and put back up in the length of time it took him to come back to let us know he was parked-up and we could get out. Changes were made to cabinet locks. Tie down spots were added for coolers and such.

Inside camera angle was CLASSIC. As mentioned, we pull a small teardrop and would rate your experience pulling up the hill a huge success. Why? Because no cabinet doors opened, no heavy or fragile objects fell, and it was a quick and easy clean up. Yep, success in our book. Glad to see you using blocks for your tires when parked. As mentioned, the plastic lego type are lightweight and have many uses if you want to eventually get away from using wood. Your awning experience made our day. While we don't have an attached awning, we've seen folks struggle as you did. Did bring a smile. As always, great video. Stay safe

Slim, you should be able to roll out the awning all the way out, most have a scalloped hanging edge that hangs down to break the surface tension of water run-off so it won’t run back under the awning. Once it is all the way out lock the upper horizontals with the knobs. Then the lower arms should be able to be extended up by releasing the levers on both side, and then lock them at the level you want into holes on the lower part of the arms.
@Thuid
@Thuid 4 жыл бұрын
The lower arms should be able to be unhooked and staked with pegs into the ground so you can walk back and forth side to side without hitting them. But I would recommend guide ropes to stake at upper corners just in case of wind if you do that though.

Right sir, when it comes to solar panels power in general, something always comes to my mind but I have never seen it or heard about it, a trailer axle driven alternator/generator, as soon as you move the batteries would be charged, in your case I think it should be great since you move around a lot, a way of bring something back from the gas in the tank. I also have a trailer (overhere called a caravan) Im experimenting with something called a nato connector between the car and the caravan heavy gauge cabling trying to make the car generator charge my batterys when moving via a split charge relay, not sure how good it works yet but its interesting stuff, think an axle driven generator would be the better choice here

Looks like the time spent searching for a new home was well worth it. You not only picked a good trailer but made the upgrades to suit your lifestyle just fine. I love the sound of the crunching snow under foot. Stay safe Slim. Cheers!!!
