I have a NuCamp T@B 320 S. It’s not a Boondock. I wish it were, but that’s a few thousand dollars more... I love it. After a year, it all works perfectly. I wanted to be able to stand up, handle it myself and use it easily. I had a memorable lunch at the visitor center in Mesa Verde and some wild turkeys, deer, and a dude with a hot young woman and a Harley in the next campsite.

seems like going to a conventional trailer is "glamping" for Slim - the Aliner had a "roughing it" sort of feel....no bathroom, no internal shower, etc. Much easier to tow,

Can't wait to see what Slim bought. I might be in the market for a small RV myself, but until then I bought a Haulmark toy hauler and fitted it out as a camper. It is 7X14 with a camper style locking side door along with the rear ramp fold down door. It is insulated with 13.5 K RV rooftop AC and heat. I fitted it out with a countertop in front with a sink and 5 gal of fresh and gray water on a 12v pump. It has a small under counter fridge and a 12' awning. No bathroom but in a pinch I have a porta potty. I installed a 12 volt system with battery charger. I also installed a 120v/12v tv with a cable inlet that I can use with an antenna or cable tv. It weight in at about 3500 lbs +/- dry and I can haul another 3500 lbs if necessary. It has dual torsion axles with electric brakes on all four drums which came in handy when I was in the mountains last year, but a very low ground clearance. I also wired it for 120 volts with a regular RV power inlet. I'm an electrician so it was all done right. I installed tons of cabinet space which is real nice. I took it to Sturgis last year and it was great, but after Sturgis I went out to Yellowstone, and the Tetons. To be honest after Sturgis I would rather have not had the motorcycle with me as it took up all my living space. It was also 1000 lbs heavier with the bike. I'm looking forward to my next trip without the bike. Having a bathroom would be nice though so I will probably get a small RV in the future. Until then this setup works really great...

Level-headed, practical, advice from an expert off roader. Thanks for showing the actual campers in use & the occasional gems in the wild too. Real treat to 'walk through' an RV show with someone of critical knowledge to highlight 'the best fit needs' in a four season light towable. Demonstrates how an experienced camper views the units show room glamour vs in field utility. Never considered a desert 'style' camper before but, the outdoor kitchen types lead me to think that way about them now. Nothing wrong with that if you need it. Warm, dry & fed while sleeping in comfort, using a lite weight towable. Too practical & simple any where you go.

So when I get home my beloved trailer will be going up for sell. You truly learn what's a must and what's not. I so wanted to go to your meet up in St Louis. if you have any others I will be trying my best to attend. Safe travels and my guess is a Escape trailer you have now. Love the reviews and just seeing what is out there. Some were truly amazing while the ones that had “toy space” and the ones with the stove and refrigerator that has to be pulled out so a big disadvantage with the weather. If someone is just starting you made great points for them. You are correct that if the “shows” could be out in the elements this would give the buyer a better idea. Although this was 3 years ago you did this I do hope you know how appreciative this is. Thanks for your spirit of the outdoors.

Any trailer with a hard roof that doesn't have to be popped up with 6 inches of snow on top is a win. And one that you can stand up in.

I retired in 2017 and treated myself to a Rockwood A122s.It is bigger than your little a frame, which makes life a bit easier. Every where I go I get curious people wanting to know more about the frame concept. I am sure I have swayed the decision of a few people as to what there next camper will be.I really enjoy your videos and the way you capture your experiences and travels. Keep up the good work!.

Slim, my last rig was a Aliner Expedition. I have owned many including large travel trailers. A few years ago I switch to a 24 foot Class C RV. I am so incredibly happy with my decision as I Boondock often.

Thanks! We bought a T@G for weekend camping and boon docking. We also have a 13X13 canopy with walls that provide a sheltered indoor/outdoor space. It all comes down to personal choice. Our tow vehicle is a diesel BMW X3 which has been very fuel efficient.

I don’t see a shower in any of other floor plans. Aside from that, what a beauty! I’m on my second casita. A bit heavier and larger than your new egg Slim but what a great place to be when the cold wind is blowing and the rain is falling. I cant wait to start watching some new adventure videos featuring the new camper.

Dude my first trailer was a casita! I would never think about getting anything larger to tow. Biggest “camper” I’d ever buy is a converted ram/sprinter van. Love the channel man!
