@@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans If you're at such a distance to the target that the aiming reference point on your fork tip obscures the target, how do you compensate? Thanks!
@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans3 ай бұрын
@@usernamemykel it's not so much of an issue. I like my rounded tips because the top band, at full draw, aligns nicely with the top corner of the frame. So if I have a shot over 25 or so yards and need to aim high I simply cut the target in half with my fork and aim high. I can see, for example, the entire right side of a bunny's head upon release. I hope that makes sense.

Really enjoy your build and hunting videos. Your naturals are stunning. I know it would be a long haul from Alaska but it would be great to meet you at one of the slingshot tournaments in the east. East Coast Slingshot Tournament in Pa. or Hocking Hills in Ohio. Keep up the excellent videos. 👍😁

Thanks man! It is a bit of a haul and I'm not much for competitive shooting, but I would love to come and watch and chill for a weekend!

I am curious about your shooting style. Would you describe your method of aiming as instinctive (like throwing a ball to another person that results in better accuracy through endless practice), or do you use some form of aiming method (gap shooting, or using some landmark on your frame) that results in your phenomenal accuracy? Or, do you just shoot so much for so long, that you don't even have to think about aiming anymore? Your skill level is extraordinary!!

Do you do any videos of how you cook them? I used to hunt with my dad when I was a teen but he never brought home rabbit, squirrels or spruce grouse because he always said the tasted terrible. I’m positive he just didn’t know how to cook such lean gamey meats well enough..I love the idea of living off of what you harvest yourself..so you cook them low and slow like in a stew most of the time?
@sturmslingshotsandshenanigans6 ай бұрын
Poke around on the channel. There are a handful of catch and cooks. Grouse hare and squirrel are not gamey at all if you clean them right away and harvest them in the correct season. Meat eater cookbooks have really good recipes for game. I recommend fried rabbit.

I need one of those head mounts I have a chest one and one for my blowgun , but the DNR said I can shoot anything in Michigan with the Blowgun and it’s a good one too , the cold steel model . I am really good with it up 20 meters and unfortunately I can’t make the cool videos I wanted it for . I can do one on like farms and things to get rid of pests . But I have to find a farmer willing to allow me to do so first. Great video
