Dish bought them, the original owner passed away, soon after that dish shelfed the company. All right before covid too, they could have made a comeback easily during that time.

Your correct. We bought our unit right when covid was announced then nothing new from them. It's just a shame cause they have a great product. Wish they would sell slingstudio to a company that would do something with it.

Guys - I've been using Sling Studio for about three years at my church. We had this in place a couple months prior to COVID-19. Recently I had to make changes to the FB account we were live stream to and had problems. I tried to find someone at Sling to speak to about it and was unsuccessful. While I love this product and it has done a great job with our live stream their support leaves much to desire for. Like FB, KZbin, and many other social media applications, Sling Studio believes that if you have an issue the answer to it is online somewhere. And if the solution is not found online then you really do not have an issue. That sucks! I was finally able to figure out my FB issue but would have liked to had some Sling support (real body).

Yeah we wish their tech support was better also. Sling got bought by dish network a couple of years ago and they just haven't done anything with it. We should have a slingstudio 2 by now with more features!

I film weddings and have to say I love sling studio. I am hopeful that they get it going and have a v2 as someone has said in the comments. I use this set up with a Ronin gimbal attached with a camera link and have 3 cameras on tripods with me flying around with the ronin. We just filmed and steamed to zoom for the guest that could not attend. Sling studio made this possible and I know of no other program that can do this. I have the yolo box with a wireless idk system and I can only do 2 cameras. I could have written that letter and you said it all.

From People who were at a Dish Summit this year 2022. This isnt even on Dish Networks radar anymore. They are concentrating their Cellular networks. But Sling could be bought for the right price. but that was not mentioned. It needs to be bought out..

@@FilmSandwich Using a Panasonic GH5.. I can preview when I'm hardwired to the SlingStudio via HDMI, but not when connecting to CameraLink. The Console app itself can connect with my CameraLink, but I get a message that "video is not available."

@@michaelhahn5328 oh we use GH5s with sling all the time. In your camera settings there is one where you can set the hdmi output resolution. You may have that set to like 4k or something that isn't compatible with sling. See if that works for you.

We did! They are still supporting the product, but supply chain issues have prevented them making new products. That's all we know at the moment.
