The size factor is a concern at first but anyone who has legit kept reptiles would know that amount of space is generally ok to try a cohab situation. Pinky knows well how to keep herself safe if she needs. She doesnt seem stressed. Slinky isnt being a bully. And frankly you know your animals very well. This video is an awesome updafe you can see how slinks has calmed with his new roomate he isnt as intensly looking for her as before. She seems totally chill. Thry are beautiful and its truly awesome to see a water monitor being their natural selves.

You do have to keep things like sexual dimorphism in consideration. In some monitor lizards, fully grown adult males are three times larger than fully grown adult females.

@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim it’s no different than it is in the wild. With their space there is plenty of room to get away from each other. A smaller female means a quicker lizard to get away from a larger and slower male.

The constant cat and mouse is good for them. Gives them good exercise and this is something they would do in the wild. She would run until ready basically.

I think they will be fine together. Eventually they will get use to each other. People need to realize you know what you are doing and you care for your animals so you are going to prevent harm if need be. Love the enclosure.

I love watching Slinky just chilling in his new place. Also, if people notice how close Pinky is in relation to Slinks hide. If Pinky truly felt that he was a threat, then she would be far away and as high up as possible away from Slinky. She just now knows to be cautious around Slinky.

Their enclosure is plenty big enough for multiple females. In a few years when Inky is big enough I would add her and see how it goes.

@ they are not different species. The black dragons are a hyper melanistic asian water monitor. They exist both on islands and the mainland. Inky was one produced by Kevin @evilmorphgod over at N.E.R.D. New England Reptile Distributors. Please do your research before claiming people are wrong.

I was never worried that they wouldn't be going together. I mean he is a good boy and pinky knows all the hiding spots as she was there before him... you did a great job on that enclosure... they both looks very happy.... I am so happy that he is swimming so much... thats more than his little pond before. And for pinky it is sure an upgrade... so yes I would be the whole day in that or around that enclosure... so satisfying... can't you put a 24/24 camera? I sure would let it open 24/24... so exciting...

im not quite sure but she might not be fully grown yet but the male AWM are 3x bigger than the females and the females can actually do more harm or kill the males if feel threatened (while males are in breed mode) as he stated in one of his earlier vids back when he introduced pinky to slinky in slinky's old enclosure

@@7NERD0SWAG7 Yes, I know Kevin (NERD) told Kenan that it was in fact the female that could do more damage than a male in most cases. I think I´ve heard Kenan say that she doesn´t get much bigger than this. The locality of the AWM can differ a lot apperently. So I think that´s the case here.

I love this enclosure so much, it really is amazing! In the wild there are plenty of water monitors in small areas here, granted I don't know the sex of those animals but still, I've seen 5 or 6 in an area much smaller than the Kamp. So it is reasonable to think this'll work just fine!
