I was an early adopter of their system back when they only had the 4 channel amp. The upgrade was a night and day difference in giving me feedback that I wasn't receiving before. I added a 5th shaker to my TR80 under the seat with another 50w amp so I could use it specifically for engine and shifts. The new 6 channel is a nice update and leaves room for expansion. I will parrot what others have said, they are a great company to work with when it comes to customer service, they replied quickly and answered all the crazy questions I could come up with.

If you look back at RD forums to a thread I created, you will find this type of spring and the original amp was something I shared with the community several years ago. They even used originally the M4 amp, that again was a product I recommended to the community. Best part about this product is the spring kit. This new amp with 6 channels they are offering, it is just too expensive guys. For comparison, the Nobsound M5.1 (HiFi 5.1) amplifier by Douk Audio, is rated at 6x50W for $179 and includes 6x input/outputs. So perfect to power upto 6x budget transducers or exciters. @@chepilevski

Thats what im actually thinking to do coz i have 1 buttkicker and thinking to put under the sit. Slipangle on for corners for curbs and road feel only. Then buttkicker for gearshift and engine vib. How you liking the 5 shaker set up? Can you distinguish the 4 corners still with one under your seat?
@The.Real.Zer0DazE

@@Jmab-rv7jc Yes, the 4 corners are distinctly different from the one under the seat. I also only use engine and shift inputs for the seat in SimHub, with the 4 corners handling road feel, and the shakers on the pedals handle ABS and slip.

I've been using a 6 channel haptic transducer seat cushion (U-shake6) for AMS2 for 6 months now and it gives me valuable information and immersion when tuned correctly. I've transferred the ground rumble effects and engine RPM from my wheel to the seat cushion which gave more clarity for tyre grip information on the wheel. I wish I had the space in my home for a full motion rig/multiscreen setup but I'm quite happy with my little sim racing immersion bubble using VR and haptics seat cusion. Amazing how there's so many options for sim racing nowadays that suites personal requirements. We also can't forget to thank Simhub that brings the all the strange hardware to life!!

I have been using this 6 channel kit for about 5 months now and yes it is a game changer!! I have ZERO regrets picking it up and would do it again. I loved it so much that I bought 2 of the mini shaker kits for the throttle and brake pedal. As much as I love this kit... buyer beware of a few things. 1. The rig (TR120) sits super low to the ground making it a little bit more difficult to get in and out of. 2. The rig when trying to catch snap oversteer, it tends to rock the rig from side to side. Only feels bad in extreme cases but it is there. 3. Simhub setup is really really time consuming. I can honestly see someone giving up trying to find comfortable settings. Also this must be done on each individual sim title. Yes settings can be copied over, but tuning is necessary for each game. (AMS2 had the best default setting IMHO). Drifting in Assetto Corsa took me a while to find good suspension settings that would not trigger when moving from a stop. Information is a little hard to find on what everything means (settings wise). 4. If your room floor is not level or the springs are not adjusted correctly, you will feel the difference. For the longest my right side was stronger than the left. The amp output knobs were all set the same but I later realized the rig itself wasn't level. I have since switched back to the TR120 adjustable feet and Im happy with it. Doing this, I lost some pronounced feedback and its a bit harder to tell which shaker is activating. This is offset by what you see on screen so its not a big deal. Also the feedback is more uniform than before. WOW I didnt mean to type this much but I want people to understand what will happen when you pick these up. Stop waiting, pick them up. I promise you will love it!!!

Great video as always. I've watched for years,sim racing is doing so well these days. Sold my gear apart from a base when we had to move out temporary, about year or so ago. Now I'm in the market for new gear, you really see how much its grown. How cheap its got. Dual clutches when I got my gear were £1k each, £300 now. Open eco systems. Fanatec who for cheap wheels. Got a good profile with inverted pedals for £615, beast of a base for £900, great looking pedals for £800. When i got my pedals, best was sprints. Sim racing feels cheaper and more options than ever. Companies create good wheels at cheap prices, im forced to buy more wheels. I no longer think sim racing is expensive.

I have the older 4 channel system, the isolation works really well especially in a flat, it was a really great addition to the sim and immerse you so much in VR. I used simhub a lot at first and found some good settings that worked well but recently tried to only use the iracing LFE setup, it's only 2 channel so you loose the distinction between front and back but you can still use the 4 channels with a splitter and because the effects depend a bit more on the physics, it works a bit better in some cases

LESS is more, when you have hardware that is limited at producing a wide range of frequencies like the BST1 and many other budget transducers. MORE is possible when we use specific hardware that increases the felt and usable dynamic frequency range. While this is a good entry level product for people to consider, its a long way off what is possible with tactile my friend. @@chepilevski

The truth is, several people in the community have done things with tactile over the last few years well beyond what sim companies are selling. Not only that but none of the most popular Sim channels even cover this topic regards tactile immersion, beyond what products they get sent to review.

I also had a cockpit over 10 years ago and recently got back into sim racing, while this was around back in the day I would say the tech is a lot better now as sims are aware of LFE and apps like simhub did not exist back then. Back then it was just bass shaking, everything got amplified where today you can break all that out into individual channels and only get haptics on the effects you want to feel. It's night and day IMO, it's an actual tool for simracing now vs just immersion. It's a great time to build a new rig, these things have gotten way better at a much cheaper price point.

Uni strut ...as in for (electrical) cable trays and ladders? Just drill the Unistrut and bolt the supplied mounts with through bolts.

@@black7rc720 exactly that stuff and yeah it’s going to be strong enough I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Can I ask you as an owner what range of frequencies you feel work best with this..... This is the problem with most of the reviews of this I have seen. If someone goes to buy it who/where is their a selection of pre-tested effects combinations that work well or lets the user then choose which they use? The reality is that units like the BST1 that this hardware uses is very basic when it comes to its performance with frequencies. THAT is why they use the term "less is more" as you struggle to enjoy multiple effects at a time. Its a limitation of the hardware, not a limitation we can not get around with alternative hardware or installation approaches.

"keeping vibration within the alu profile" .... which means it doesnt go to the neighbours?
@Leynad778

My rig is spring loaded since 2017 mainly because of the neighbours and it works great for isolation. The only alternative that is working is a ground of soft foam like gymnastic mats, but doesn't feel so great.

@@P3ktoRisI've bought cheap but beefy pressure-springs from a spring-factory for less than 5 € each and 3D-printed two cups for each, one for the bottom, one that fits to the aluminium profile. I'm using 6 springs with a length of 50 mm, about 40 mm wide with 55 N/mm strength. That's quite stiff, more like formula cars.

Different materials have dampening for different frequencies. Also depends on the level of tactile hardware you are using. Larger much more PRO based tactile will generate much deeper bass but often it is the audible frequencies and harmonics that can seep through floors. A combination of spring based solution and rubber isolation can work well. Rubber isolators on their own will not stop vibrations. I have tried many options, even 400mm - 1000mm industrial rubber feet, used on installations for solar panels. @@P3ktoRis

I have used about four layers of washing machine mats. Stinky black rubber mats. Be aware those can take some vibration but can't avoid them to go to your floor. If i'd try this kind of system again, i'd definetly try to isolate with springs

Ah no but is giving so much for sure. As I’ve said in the video, it feels bigger step from nothing to haptics system then haptics system to motion! It just gives life to the experience

Hey I didnt know you were Bulgarian. My best friend is Bulgarian and his family is like a second family to me. Of course I cant generalize but I find Bulgarian people very positively spiritual. No wonder I really like your attitude 😉 And about the bass shakers. I cant agree more. I use it with VR and I cant race without it now. It is like going from a wheel with FFB to a wheel without FFB. I also add traction loss effect with high frequency wave. It helps a lot to detect understeer and oversteer. For now I only use on Butt Kicker. Is it worth it to add more? Do you think the difference of going frome 1 to 4 is as big as going from 0 to 1?
@chepilevski
@chepilevski 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words brother 🤗 I don’t think the difference from one to 4 corners haptic will be as great as from nothing to one buttkicker. This can add more directional feedback for specific effects but in general, the wow factor going from nothing to one is huge 💪

@@henryrebane1481 no I bought the 300W version and recognised the amp. Loving the experience with this. I think the only upgrade left is a full motion system which is way beyond my budget for sim racing!
