Over a year ago we tested Lexus RX-350. Recently we got accused of using SNOW mode in other tested cars, and not using ECT SNOW mode in Lexus. So Lexus got on rollers again, this time with ECT SNOW on.

@4x4.tests.on.rollers3 жыл бұрын

Hej. A sprawdzaliście bez trybu SNOW?

I do not know how these people did their tests but in my 2012 is350 awd it handled very well this past winter. For a sports sedan I was very impressed with its ability to handle with just all season tires and with snow mode on.
@AndyFarrell0083 жыл бұрын
I also have a 2013 RX350 AWD F Sport and live in a very wet area, with pot holed roads and a steep windy hill climb to the nearest freeway. The AWD has performed faultlessly. Never a slip. Feels very stable in poor conditions.

Here's another Lexus, much older RX300 but showing very similar behaviour of traction control: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmHZd2V8htWAf5o
@1694942 жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with the roller test. Toyota have weak AWD in their unibody cars is pretty well known. If you are talking about "actual roads", then, most FWD sedans don't have issues in winter ice and snow. I use to drive a FWD mini van in Alberta Canadian winter in all season tires and it survived fine... No offense tho, I like Toyota and Lexus, my family have a RX and Sienna, great cars, but their AWD all sucks. If my RX got stuck somewhere, there's no confidence its AWD will get me out without calling a tow truck... I also have a Toyota truck with part time 4wd, but that's totally another story on the drivetrains, I can fly that truck in snow covered mountains in AT tires.

Hej, czy w lexusie AWD działa nonstop w trekcie jazdy?
@4x4.tests.on.rollers3 жыл бұрын
@MrPuciek3 жыл бұрын
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Dzięki za odpowiedz!
@4x4.tests.on.rollers3 жыл бұрын
Można to wymusić trybem LOCK do określonej prędkości.

@@marekraczek1 24 years of driving is more than enough. You are talking about maintanance things, not the driving. Well tuned haldex (for example in Volvo cars) is competitive to torsen, in many scenarios even better due to full lock ability. Many sport cars are using haldex, including super cars.
