Not too bad performance from Mokka. Maybe it would do better in diesel option and manual transsmision but anyway for a car which do not have any awd modes or offroad ambitions good enaugh. Thank you for review

Type of engine...diesel or petrol ...and type of transmission ( manula or automatic) has zero influence on results.
@RustyHeartsTOV9 ай бұрын
@@zepter00of course it can. Torque is the answer. You can see in this video that it just doesn't have enough torque for the rear axle to move the car. It just swings slightly. The diesel could have a better outcome.
@4x4.tests.on.rollers9 ай бұрын
@@RustyHeartsTOVIt's not about engine torque but about the ability of the system to send it to appropriate wheel. Both cars here are 1.4 turbo petrol, both have way more torque than needed to pass this test.
@RustyHeartsTOV9 ай бұрын
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers yeah I know. I mean when I have a system that can send for an example a fixed value of 30% of the available torque to the rear wheels. I would benefit with more available torque as a whole. Like 30% of 240 NM (Petrol) or 30% of 320 NM (Diesel). Or am I thinking wrong?
@4x4.tests.on.rollers9 ай бұрын
@@RustyHeartsTOV Your thinking would be correct only in situations when engine is generating its max torque, for example - all wheels have great grip and car is towing heavy trailer. But in this case, engine can generate only as much as grip allows, so its max torque capability doesn't matter.

Interesting how there's a definite lag in the Suzuki's Auto mode where it has to think and *then* activate the rear wheels.
@4x4.tests.on.rollers5 жыл бұрын
No, that's not correct. The lag you see is caused by torque converter of automatic gearbox. That means that every time the driver releases brake pedal (without pressing accelerator) front wheels are spinning.
