Slip trailing on clay

Applying slip to leather hard clay with a slip trailing tool (aka squeeze bottle) to add texture and decoration.

Hello ! Do you know how to avoid cracks in the texture added with slip ? I was wondering if I should deflocculate the slip, but I don't know to what proportions or if it's even a good idea.
