It's weird that SlipKnot had the mystique about the masks for so long, when i first saw them back in 1999 when they were opening for Coal Chamber they hung out with the fans before they went on stage(no masks) and were as down to earth as anyone you'd ever want to meet. I saw them without their masks before i ever saw them WITH the masks performing. Shawn literally spent an hour mentoring some young kids just starting out in music... it was pretty cool. Everyone but #7 was out socializing.

They've saved my life, Corey Taylor's lyrics specifically whether it be in Slipknot, for the rage, or Stone Sour, for the pain, because of the fact that they are real, he is real, and he has really felt like that in his life. He is a happier sane person today because he has a wife who loves him, and he her. And a son that he fathers dearly unlike his dad did him. I've never known him to be in it for the money, and nor do I believe that is the case. Call me close minded, but I just think it fact.

Their finding reason to be happy human beings. That's what Slipknot does and has done not only for them, but for their fans alike. Corey Taylor said himself when he wasn't sure if he would keep going with Slipknot after Paul Gray's death, that he's not that angry child anymore. But he is in fact gonna keep going because he knows what Slipknot has done for people, and how many lives it's saved. They're not becoming fake, they're becoming sane, happy, human beings. And that's cool.

Just because he's doing other things in his career now or going in different directions musically does not make Corey a sell out or any less of an amazing musician than before. Last time I checked it's called being healthy when you get sober and stop hating life. When that happens your music is bound to change. As far as being arrogant or whatnot, I've had the honor of meeting him and he is one of the coolest and most down to earth guys. Btw, I doubt Corey would care less what you think of him.

I used to sometimes think that Clown was a bit of a tosser, you know? Like, a bit over the top with his attempts to be badass. But now, all these years later, watching him grow older, I've gotten older, more mature, still a massive fan, and I look into his eyes when he talks, I've come to realise he means every single thing he says. He really does live, eat, and breath Slipknot. I believe every single thing he says.

It's too late for Slipknot, as "All Hope is Gone", but all artists need to understand the basic scenario of Astrology that Seinfeld and a few others have. Everything has a rise and fall. Fame is like throwing a ball up into the air. You gotta retire while the ball is still floating at it's highest point, or it'll fall to the ground and appear as if it had never been up there. The goal is to be remembered at your peak and have that image or sound emblazened in history and people's minds forever.

I liked SlipKnoT from the first time I heard 'em back in 2000. The Self-Titled Album was good, Iowa was good, and Vol: 3 was good. Something changed though. Could've been money, could've been something deeper, but they've been gradually revealing themselves as fake. The ones that speak often sound like they're lying. All of their generic British last names are kinda freakin me out too. They did call themselves "The Pale Ones" at first. I was a teenager when I was a fan, but I feel betrayed now.

Dear kibabiiii, they will wear their masks again and I think they'll wear them forever.Shawn even said he loves pain..so wearing the masks won't be a problem for them.And also,they will be back but I don't think that it will be this year,but they are actually making a new album dedicated to Paul.They said it will be like their album Iowa and fans are already guessing the name of the album.So yeah, I hope I helped. :)
